Obviously the kinds of people who write tabloid stories about her aren't fans who actually understand how the Grammys have constantly snubbed her, nor would they care anyway. They're not taking the piss, they're just talentless hacks who use filler sentences to increase the word count. She's won a Grammy, so they use that.

Not really. She IS a Grammy winner and while she might not be a "Grammy favorite" they're not saying it to make fun of her, they're saying it like @M.E. said to fill a word count

would vma winner not be more apt, i read the daily mail they don't say grammy favourite about for instance Adele. the grammys and britney are not synonymous with each other. she has not performed at the grammys since like 2000 and did she even ever give a acceptance speech for the one time she won it. here are some of the articles

You need to let this go. It is not shade in the slightest, she IS a grammy winner, "grammy favourite" is just a phrase to fill space. As for "VMA winner"...well that sounds unimpressive.

Whether you like/respect the Grammys or not, they're a more prestigious award than the VMA's. They're not shading Britney by mentioning her with the Grammys, if anything it's compliment. Especially in the eyes of the GP.

ah ok then you must have watched frozen too much there is nothing to let go of it's not a serous topic. but to fill a space it is a professional job you don't just fill spaces i would hope. Personally i think vmas is more impressive in britneys genre of music cos she is a visual artist, grammys are for song writing mainly.

If it's not a serious topic, why moan in the first place?

"x time grammy award winner" or "grammy favourite" is just a phrase journalists use, there really isn't more depth to it than that. Besides, the UK GP (outside of hardcore pop fans) wouldn't even know what a VMA was.
