BadBoiRoRo Posted June 8, 2014 Author #26 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I didn't come a fan til post Circus era when womanizer came out because I liked the best tithe song (but I didn't know Britney sang it because it was on my iPod nano) but before that I didn't really care for her until people made fun of her for cutting her hair. me too 1
theyellowbutton Posted June 8, 2014 #27 Report Posted June 8, 2014 tbh, it was a single pictur. the album cover to BOMT. there was a small newspiece in Rolling Stone, something about 2 teens named britney that want to be pop stars. The Spears just stuck out to me and the rest is history obviously. I was 13.
BadBoiRoRo Posted June 8, 2014 Author #28 Report Posted June 8, 2014 always like Britney. I think the 2009 TCA awards did it for me - she was being praised by everyone there. Started watching videos of her on youtube - ended up watching every music video and interview and anything Britney related by 2010 then I officially started STANNING right before the release of HIAM in early January 2011 Awwe, flawless time to stan bb!

Phoenix Posted June 8, 2014 #31 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Oh god let's see... In 1998.. I was....7 or 8, but I was playing and running around the house with friends and I stumbled into my sister's room with the boombox on 93.7 (Damn I remember the channel). Anyways the radio was playing and BOMT was on and I literally stopped dead in my tracks, walked over to the radio, and sat down and listened from start to end. After it finished, I bugged my sister on telling me who was singing and she didn't know at the time either so it annoyed me until it came on later another day and I heard the name Britney Spears before the song started. My sister checks TRL on MTV and what do you know? Her video is in the countdown. I watched it. I was in awe. Became a fan. Introduced me to MTV and pop culture. Religiously followed her (TRL, VMAS, Making The Video, ect). The rest is history.
