U almost forget that it's a cover song, cause Britney really took it & made it her own!! My ONLY wish is that it could have a video and gets proper single treatment!! This song I believe could be a successful hit this is just what's the public wants from Britney!
Caroline77 Posted June 18, 2015 #5 Report Posted June 18, 2015 None of them. Tom's diner , Britney's voice is too vocoded, the bridge ruins the song, and i don't like the instrumental. Pretty Girls, her voice is too autotuned and lyrics are shitty. Both aren't really bad but not great either imo. 1
BlackoutEgo Posted June 18, 2015 #6 Report Posted June 18, 2015 Tom's Diner all the way , dont get me wrong I like Pretty Girls but its not all that to brag about compared to anything that she has done before Giorgio said he wants it to be a single so hopefully that happens & we get a video for it, but at the same time Giorgio said in an interview that she couldnt do a video, so that obviously means he tried to make it a single before. So idk

I'd say I like Tom's Diner better because it's more artistic, experimental and has a "personal" feeling on it, mostly because Britney chose to cover that song, but I love Pretty Girls aswell because despite being a pretty basic song it's still fun to jam to. In my opinion the two of them are a step in the right direction compared to Britney Jean, specially when it comes to the vocal production, so I'm really satisfied with the fact that her music is getting better when it comes to that aspect

But now that PG is dead, maybe they could reconsider it, although i'm pretty sure it would flop as well, but if we can have a video i'm all for it.

Pretty Girls is fun, but I want something different, by different I mean maturity in her music. Tom's Diner, to me, shows a different side of her, I like that the song narrates a story, though seemingly incomplete compared to the original ver., it kind of gives it a more mysterious twist, and I like how it is.
