So can you "confirm" that we'll be getting a new single soon? In that case, when will we hear about it? 

 

I would say at the latest September. That's what I initially was told. But the thing that's always been with her and her team is that they get fickle. The amount of things they plan and then pull them or push them back is astounding in terms of her professional work/career.

 

However, with this Twitter account having the song and I've heard this, who knows?

I hope you're right! I was expecting a fall release but I didn't think they'd be planning to release a new song that fast, it makes me happy to know that new music is in the making :)

BITCHHHHH...please please please dont give off Pretty Girls, Oh La La, Cutesy BOMTney vibes...I hope it has a sick memorable ecclectic beat and she's giving Let Me Be, Overprotected, Radar, & Break the ice catchiness vibes 

 

I'd say that it's solidly inbetween those two sets of songs. It kind of reminds me what they did with "3" -- taking an older song and touched it up. However, I heard this thing once and I was told it isn't anywhere near fully mixed yet.

SIGH  :icanttt: ...Why do they insist on repeating this error pattern, Britney is not a Katy Perry kind of pop artist. There is a reason why her major hits are BOMT, Toxic, Overprotected, Gimme More, Womanizer, Slave, MATM etc....they arent giving her fluidity, and they keep giving her this basic radio pop sound with that high pitched voice and it was ok at first but its not her niche and her team isnt understanding that 

 

BUT i will wait for the song, cant judge it yet...i still have hope its a dope hit and sounds mature

There is a "new album" that's sitting but it's a collection of leftovers from older sessions. There is no rush for new music because of Vegas at the moment. Pretty Girls was more of a test run and putting out feelers after Britney Jean to see how the market would react. Pretty Girls also I feel suffered from Iggy's involvement because the Little Mix original version, although rough, lyrically and structurally fit more with Britney. Iggy brought more of the urban flair but it bombed.

 

The song that Twitter account tweeted to is more of a return to "Britney Spears" type pop. It could fit in comfortably on Circus or Femme Fatale.

 

EDIT: would like to say: everything I hear is over Skype. I take everything with a giant grain of salt. I call the online trading/sharing world a sort of black market of sorts and there's always people who fake things. What I heard sounds like her, and I'm pretty sure these lyrics fit. Again though: take it with a grain of salt.

 

Are the Britney Jean leftovers recorded by her this time or is Myah Marie doing "background vocals" on them?  Anything used from that project makes me nervous, tbh.  Anywho... What was different about that version?  Seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I too thought Britney's vocals fit the song very well and I didn't mind Iggy's involvement whatsoever.

Not giving away the title or producer, but I think that Twitter account will. Wait for Pretty Girls to officially die down and you should hear something next month.

If you don't believe me, ask Anthony. He knows the extent of certain things I have and I'm the one who gave him the Pretty Girls music video caps to leak. I don't really post on here, I left Exhale YEARS ago and I keep quiet about a lot. That's all I have to say.

Sorry for the double post (whoops) but the original had a variation on the pre-chorus and chorus. Still chanty but Iggy's edits to it I think took away from it being a more solid pop song. The verses are melodic but the chorus is more chanty and the original veers more in one direction. Also, there are songs recorded from the Britney Jean era that have been left in the dust but I'd bet they've been touched up as well. I don't think Myah will have any part in the new project except for legitimate backing vocals. Her team knows the mess they have to overcome for the next album.

That's great and all but until there's proof and not just your and Anthony and whoever else you want to justify your words - I don't believe it.

I hope we get to hear the original version one day, I was under the impression "Pretty Girls" was pretty much left as was with Iggy adding her rap for the bridge and her vocals as backup on the chorus.  It's good to know some other changes were made.  

 

I really hope so, listening to that album still pisses me off.  Britney and her team are so lucky a bigger deal wasn't made out of her soundalike backup singer taking lead on her "most personal album." Not enough excuses in this world for the shit they tried to pull with that one.
