How can she go from having a 500k+ opening week, winning channel 4's ultimate popstar and just generally being all over the news all the time.... To struggling to push 100,000k in the US with basically NO ONE knowing she had new music??

Back in 2008 I would never for a minute stop and think that Britney would lose her level of fame.

Personally, I think her team are doing it on purpose

Gaga went from selling 1 million in one week three years ago to hardly getting 1.8 million in like, six months. It happens to everyone, people get bored and look for someone fresh and new. 

 

Britney is not trying as hard, not promoting her stuff, her label is making bad decisions, she suffered from a lot of bad publicity over the years so I am not surprised she's not selling as much and isn't the most relevant anymore. But Vegas proves that her legacy is real and Britney Spears is still a strong force in the industry.

Britney is still the most Famous Celebrity in the World. She can not go any where without being recognized. True her music didn't do anything but it really wasn't Britney's fault. "Britney Jean" leaked before it was released and her fans failed to buy the CDs.

But that is the problem. A lot of people didn't know she had new music because she is very private. People that are selling records right now are in every magazine, red carpet, fashion show, etc.

She wants a more private life and i am happy for her but also i think she needs to do more performances, for her fans and the Gp to see her (snl, superbowl, etc)

Let's not be retarded. Take everything into consideration. Circus has world wide promo performances, for the record, comeback hype, and two extremely catchy singles. If she did the same for britney jean we would see a lot more success
