i dont think its that weird tbh. its not like she was doing the same level of promo or had the same level of hype as she did 6 years ago and pulled those numbers - she basically did not promote the album at all. she did lots of interviews and appearances but most of those pertained to the vegas show with a few questions about bj - which is part of the reason why vegas is doing so well - people know about it. every superstar has their peak, anyway; britney was called a flop in 2001 bc it didnt sell the 1,000,000+ that oops did.

and its not her team, its definitely her. she doesnt want to be a huge pop star anymore.

Her fame hasn't declined at all just because BJ album sales weren't up to par or because she isn't photographed 12315346846 times every single day. Every singer has more successful eras than others but that doesn't mean she's suddenly irrelevant or something.

I know we want her to be that it girl again but I mean you have to understand britney is most likely over that. I mean who wouldn't be over it after what she went through in 2007?. She has that semi normal life she always wanted, and she also found a way to keep doing shows and being low key now as well, it kinda sucks what lengths they/she did bit it obviously worked. I do think if she wanted to be, she can easily take that spot back but for now I'm happy for her.
