In The Netherlands we dont get those songs much on the radio, we have more singer songwriter material.

Since 2011? Sis, Brit's album vocals have sucked since 2008. Blackout was the last appearance of raw britney vocals, paired tastefully with vocoded and autotuned backing vox and vocal effects.

 

I'll just cut to the point and state that Circus' vocal production sucks ass. I loathe hydrangeas the work they did on her vocals in the album. Bland, dimensionless, and incredibly over-produced. I'm pretty sure This Kiss was an experiment in trying to give her an artificial vibrato and when that totally failed, they went the other direction and treated her vocals with such broad strokes, it drowned out any real vocal artistry (which, though she's never been the Whitney or Mariah, Brit's got her vocal ticks and tendencies that really defined her first 5 albums).

 

Sure there's exceptions; a Perfume here, a My Baby there, but overall the suckage in vocal appeal has been going on for much longer than FF.

Her vocals did not suck during circus era (u are the first that I hear say that) but of course its just your opinion

I just wanted to know why the bar for autotune was raised during 2011 and on going , not that much of autotune was used before that
