How come most artists these days top the billboard 200 with sales of like 70,000 but when Britney lands at number 4 with sales of 107,000 she's considered a flop?

It's so annoying... If she had released the album a couple of weeks later... When people were no longer buying one direction etc she would have made it!!

It charted horribly only because of the release date.

For instance, it sold 11,000K in the UK in its first week and it charted at #34.

Rihanna, with one of her albums, sold 9K in the first week at debuted at #1.

Moo sold about 8K with Elusive Porkcheuse and debuted at #14.

If it wasn't xmas, she would have charted much, much higher, if not at #1/2 in America. Didn't last week's #1 only sell 80K?

she debuted at #3 with 55K.. Britney was one spot lower with twice as much. Xmas was a terrible time to release a new album but I guess it was a requirement of her Vegas contract or something. They wanted to buzz her residency.

She should have pushed the album back not only to ensure a good release but to fix the production errors. I think Britney felt a bit guilty for not having a new world tour so she wanted to make sure the fans had an album. Then everything was rushed at the end. RCA should have just released it as an EP.

I love the album even with the bad timing and production errors.

But circus slaaaaayed when it was released at Xmas- I thought the reason FF didn't sell very well was because it had a March release... Her team probs though Xmas was for the best tbh with Xmas presents and all that

Circus was a well promoted and anticipated come back album.

Britney Jean was outshadowed by shitty xmas stuff that's selling well every single year.

stop you're going to make me mad like how BO should've been #1 as well

It was Technically number one, but they changed something to do with the rules of the chart that week and it meant the Beatles remained #1 even though blackout sold more....
