yaaas, I choose to believe Chantal is not someone who would praise a singer's work if it's not good.

I'm don't expect Britney's vocals to blow me away, I'm happy if they're somewhat like on Inside Out or Don't Cry, so fingers crossed.

I can never take it seriously when people use 'genius vocals' and Britney's name in the same sentence. But in all seriousness, I'm getting Perfume vibes from this and I'm all here for it! Perfume would have been great... if it wasn't for its average production and awful lyrics. I do feel like Chantal is a stronger songwriter than Sia (who has recently gone too mainstream and is shitting out new songs on a daily basis for writing credits despite her undeniable talent) so I am all here for it. Perfumeney coming to smash.

I agree with what you say but:

Hold on tight was 100% Britney and one of her best vocals!!!

The verses on passenger were also 100% Britney and AMAZING!!!

Till it's gone was a masterpiece vocally and the backup singer didn't take the lead at all...

In alien Britney's vocals were CLEAR...The "not alone" part was Britney in my opinion but since it wasn't clear I'm not gonna argue...

However, you are missing my point. Britney Jean was a mess in production and the whole drama with the background singers was the producers' fault.

Britney DELIVERED vocally in the studio. So, YES I want that Britney again BUT with better production...

I oppose all of these points so much, we're gonna have to agree to disagree.   :blackoutsmiley:

Use Guys and distinct female vocalist as BG.

Britney's vocal on Perfume sounds beautiful. It's just that she was trying to sound like Sia. Her Annunciation of some of the Words were clearly Britney singing but they were sung less traditional Britney to get the rhythm of the song the way Sia sung them.

I agree with you 100%. I always thought that she should use male background vocalists more often than she does because it would add some depth. And she sung very well on perfume and she made it so you can hear the heartbreak on that track but the writing was definitely phoned in and its obvious Sia was rushing when she wrote it. Anyway hopefully we get something on the level of perfume mixed with Hold On Tight and DLMBTLTK. We'll see.
