Ive hesitated to post this as I dont want you all thinking its a bitch/moan post it isnt.

You hear of Taylor Swift and all these younger artists giving more stuff away to fans and being more interactive. I love Britney of course and I get why she isnt like that, but do you ever get a bit fed up of never knowing whats going on with music, like everything is so top secret?

Please tell me your thoughts! <3

She used to be more open but I think she got burned by how her label reacted, especially around the making of the blackout album so she probably chooses to keep it low now. And to answer you, no I don't get frustrated because she's not on my mind 24/7 and honestly I'd rather not know because when you find out things are supposed to happen and then they don't it's more disappointing then not hearing about it.

The only thing I wish is social media existed before her breakdown :crying1:

Having ITZney tweeting us would have been epic! :bigtime:

And to be honest, no. I am glad she doesn't say much because it makes me ache for it even more! These "younger" artists you talk about have one thing in common: Their shit gets leaked waaaay ahead of schedule because they give away too much info, making it easier for hackers to track.

Honestly no. I enjoy the element of surprise, although I do wish we weren't left hanging about things sometimes. Or that it wasn't left until the last minute to reveal details.

YES !!! all the other artists let their fans know everything , even with videos of them in the studio and bts shit

Shes not that interactive with her fans at POM either, she only talks 4 times out of a 90 minute show

She used to be more connected before. She even used to post those letters in her own website back in the day.

I know that people might say it's outdated, and very 90's but I think if the official fan clubs were still a thing, it would be easier to have like these special things, gifts, exclusives. I know in theory, the social networks should make this more simple, but maybe Britney just isn't used to that level of intimacy with the fans, like Iggy Azalea and her infinite convos with her fans on Twitter. Also an artist of the size of Britney just can't reply to all of her fans, they post a picture and a minute after it has already hundreds of comments.

The forums should be the equivalent these days, to have like these messages or gifts only for the "real fans" and not in a more public source like Facebook or Twitter, but we had Jordan and the unreleased tracks, and how he just didn't share all of them. Now I'm not sure which exclusives is Kinganthony getting, or how does he get them, but I don't think he'll share everything, just at the right moment he knows it / have it, he will find the time and way he thinks appropriate (I want to believe) but still, at the end it just makes the communication between Britney and the fans very slow and diminished.

About everything being top secret, I really don't have a problem. Actually, I wish it really was top secret. Just think about it, we always get to know what's happening, even before Britney knows about it. It all starts as rumors, but when they finally become true, it results that we've been already discussing that for months, and already have the highest expectations. I joined the forums in 2013, but I've been following them since 2011 or so. Since then, I haven't been surprised by Britney at all, everything that she's done I've got to know it with months of anticipation, plus all the things that get scrapped in the process or that turns out to be just bs. We heard about Vegas since the beginning of 2013, we knew about Iggy Azalea half a year before it actually happened, we're already knowing the producers she's working with for the next album, there's even titles of songs out there. Probably most of them won't make the final cut, and some of them will, but the thing is that we're always spoiled about everything. She could never pull a Beyoncé, because every step Britney does is tracked by the media, or the insiders, or I don't know who. She could never shoot a videoclip without the world knowing about it, or record an important collaboration without the other artist bragging about it on Twitter.

Yes, she used to be more open but ya kno, shit happened and she kinda learnt how to manage herself with media :mahhaw:

I guess it's better we don't know everything before time because... well, it would be boring not to be hyped about the new stuff, don't ya think? :aintevenmad:

But yeah, like @ said: i wish facebook, twitter and oither social webs would have existed back then :( It would have been PRICELESS :crying1:

I think she's in the right direction to be more open to people, like, in the last year she's been posting a lot of personal pictures and videos on social media, which makes her seem closer to her followers! But yeah, I agree with people saying that there should be "special treats" for dedicated communities like forums and stuff like that, something that shows how thankful her and her team are for such devoted fans!

I'm completely ok with the way things are anyway, I just wish she was more open about the process of creating the album for example, sharing a video of her doing vocal warmups or playing the piano (pianoney needs to comeback, seriously!).

I really think people over the past 20 years has got an unhealthy idea of what it is to be a fan. It's like you want a diary with every little thought, every move should be discussed and talked about, and if we don't get what we want, we call her a contorlled robot, when it's actually us wanting to control her.

She is just a woman for fuck sake.. Nothing more, nothing less, a grown up woman. WHo has some vegas concerts. I really don't care about what she thinks of everything or if she goes to 1000 childrens hospitals. She does a lot of things we don't see, because you don't have to flaunt good deeds to the world to be a good person.

This.. We got things on time - not leaked before - and I was fortunate enough to be a fan through every era - so I had the best of both worlds.. There will be another interactive era - but the boys will be older by then..

I think she is a pop star of a different era and I really appreciate that actually! I don't want to know every little thing as it happens.. there's no surprise or mystery to today's younger artists because they are over sharing. :xf11:

Frankly, it's boring and kind of indulgent to think that anyone gives a f*ck about your life just because you have a song on the radio. And ppl are too celeb obsessed. It's kinda like stars of other mediums like movies and tv, some are fame whores but the good ones are not... So we may know every aspect of Taylor's life just like we know everything about Kim Kardashian.. :uhwtf: but Britney's more like Leo Decaprio, mysterious and not over exposed.  :gelis: Plus I think Britney has actually been sharing much more of her life lately.. especially thru social media! I'd rather have quirky personality like woody the wood pecker impressions over knowing every little detail of her personal life or career plan. It keeps it fun and there's an element of surprise!  :aintevenmad:

They just revealed a bunch of producers she's been recording with....the problem is that we get impatient really quickly and we want there to be music news ALL THE TIME, even when she isn't really doing anything. Most times, when she is actually recording or rehearsing, we hear about it.

They actually revealed nothing, it's the producers themselves who revealed it. Honestly that's what is bothering me the most. She never or rarely post anything about her career. We always know things from media or other celebrities/people or things like that, never Britney herself. She/her team, are sharing literally nothing. There is like 0 communication between them/her and us.

I also would like to have some reheasals videos every now and then, or videos in studio.. bts footage ya know. But that would be asking for the moon, and anyway before sharing some "gifts" , they need to learn how to communicate actual informations first.

yeah....Britney never talks about get music. It's like she stopped doing that after ITZ era. Even when she's actively promoting an album, she doesnt seem passionate enough to talk about it with any real depht of interest.
