Josie Jean Posted July 12, 2015 #30 Report Posted July 12, 2015 Oops I did it again but I already knew baby one more time before that. I just didn't know who sang it. It's confusing I know. My reaction was: this is the greatest song ever! I was obsessed. Begged my parents for the album. They bought me the nsync and Britney album from McDonald's first though. Then I got oops I did it again album because I loved the McDonald's cd so much. So basically oops I did it again Rodney jerkins remix was and probably is my favorite song of all time. Got bomt a month later
Pokémon Spears Posted July 12, 2015 #32 Report Posted July 12, 2015 ...Baby One More Time. I watched the video at my cousins' house. Because of her I grew up listening to Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, etc. But when BOMT video came out for some reason it just stood out from all of the artists out there. My brother and sister, and I became kind of obsessed and when Sometimes video came out we were really excited. My neighbor had the BOMT cassette and we always listened to it on the street and we even used to do the BOMT and Crazy choreos. But yeah, the Crazy remix was another level of amazing. And around that time Pokémon appeared as well , so I always remember those beautiful days, when Pokémon toys would be given at Burger King with songs/videos like Crazy, or Genie in a bottle or Larger than life. It was a really great time in music, not only because of Britney. And it was always about the videos, more than the radio for us, we would watch MTV 24/7. At least here in Latin America, Britney's videos would always compete for the 1st place at the Top 20 or Top 10 countdowns. She was even at the 1st place in the Top 100 of 2000 and 2001. And it was definitely OIDIA what really put her on a level unreachable for any other artist. But yeah, BOMT was the first one I heard, and I'm really glad that I'm not younger nor older because I can have the privilege to say that I grew up listening to Britney, since the beginning, when it was actually happening.
Outta This World Posted July 12, 2015 #33 Report Posted July 12, 2015 the first song i remember hearing is Toxic (on Just Dance so I didn't knew that it was Britney)
GoCallThePolice Posted July 12, 2015 #34 Report Posted July 12, 2015 BOMT- I was convinced it was in my school when I was a kid
PrinceAli89 Posted July 12, 2015 #35 Report Posted July 12, 2015 The first Britney song I heard was "...Baby One More Time" on the radio in fall of 1998. I was 9 years old, so I don't remember alot but I do remember instantly loving the song and singing along to it all the time. The video was special too, when I saw it on MTV for the first time. I just remember thinking she was so cool to do a video about being bored in school and day-dreaming about breaking out into a dance sequence like that. I could totally relate to it. So the song along with the video made me hooked on the soon-to-be-legendary miss Britney Spears forever.
Everytime Posted July 12, 2015 #36 Report Posted July 12, 2015 Baby One More Time. I always loved it as a kid!
