The difference between Britney and the common thieves is that Britney acknowledges her inspirations and doesn't try to sell them as original (Gaga, Beyonce etc)...

Dunno why ur annoyed. Britney and Janet both have the ability to slay us with their presence just by standing there. Even if Britney did copy Janet, at least she picked someone who is inconic and has insane charisma.

I mean some of those are reaching BUT it's always been obvious that Janet was her main influence, not Madonna.

I've always looked at Britney as being the love child of Janet & Madonna, with the former being more of an inspiration.  Aside from both being white & garnering various degrees of controversy Brit & Madge don't have much in common whereas Britney's performance style, sex appeal, & vocal delivery mirrors Janet's.
