They have always done it cause she feels more comfortable. Look at the Circus tour during a Womanizer performance. She was scared to death....

She looked terrified! So yeah she must feel way more comfortable with the dancers as her bodyguards. I makes sense really, she has been 16 years in the industry. She's always had bodyguards so it must feel neutral for her to have them with her all the time. Also they probably act like bodyguards in case  the fan does something to over the top when meeting her haha   :)

It is REALLY weird actually and cringe worthy as well. They are her dancers, not her bodyguards, they are not responsible for her.

It was much more intense in the Circus tour and I was surprised that they decided to bring fans on stage in the femme fatale tour...

I really don't care.. It's not something I'm gonna be "anti-team-britney"over, I have more substanse in my life thank you..

Britney has had a lot of death threats, and you never know which crazy person goes on stage, and some people can't control themselfs, and starts screaming, crying, or awkwardly hugs her... It really isn't a big deal, but of course, Britneys fanbase is the only ones making a deal abou tit

i don't think it weird britney is known by millons her dancers aren't so if some crazy person jumped on stage they are there for britney not the dancers. So the dancers would be the nearest to restrain the person and get them away from Britney.by the time the bodyguard gets on stage a crazy person could do lord knows what so they have to act as a buffer between those couple of seconds and divert potential threat away.

Does anyone think we can blame her? I love Lady Gaga. I think she's a really interesting artist. :pieceofwhat:

Which FFT date had a bunch of fans on stage and she hugged practically all of them? That's what her fan interactions on stage should be like, it was sweet.  I think that only happened once and for the rest of the tour she had her dancers acting like security.   :umomg:

That britney's dancers act like bodyguards when they bring a fan onstage? I mean I get you need to protect the artist but I always find it a turn off especially when it's that obvious

Yeah, it's kinda weird, but I guess we can't blame her for being insecure about how her fans might react on stage, you hear a lot of stories about crazy fans all the time!

After this I don't blame them

I don't think it's weird considering Britney's fanbase and what has happened in the past. Fans jumping on stage, biting her leg, etc. it's better than seeing her bodyguards on stage.
