I'm confused because "Work Bitch" sold just a bit more than "Good For You" and had way more radio play here in LA and NY , how the fuck did it enter the top 10 and "Work Bitch" didnt ?

Britney was snubbed asf tbqh

Probably when Britney released Work Bitch other songs sold more than her or had bigger radio airplay, there's no rule that when song reaches a certain number of sales it always gets the same place on Billboard, because you have to look at all the other factors.

I think it depends of the competition. I don't exactly remember which songs were popular at the time, but I know that Gaga and Katy had just released their lead singles when WB came out, but now there aren't many big names with newly released music  :yaknow:

agreed. When Work B*tch was released, blurred lines and wrecking ball had massive airplay and I think royals was still pretty big at that time, too.

Selena's team made a wiser decision to release now.

Well ofcourse when someone outsells someone with sales and radio play they will chart higher

My point is "good for you" sold less then "work bitch" and is not really being played as much as work B did and it still charted higher and entered the top ten

So like it's been already said by other users - Selena most likely had less competition while releasing her new single and that's why she charted higher than Brit... Also how about streaming? It probably helped as well and as far as I can remember she had lots of views and probably plays too.

Because Britney was versing Blurred Lines, Wrecking Ball, Roar, Applause, etc... Which were the viral and most shocking around that time. My generation doesn't believe in anything to be "good" unless its controversial or sh*t :mhm:

selena was number one on itunes the whole week !! she sold 180.000 first week.the highest debut song of the year and the music video was released the same week!!! she had big streaming points and sales!!! work bitch video was released the third week. Britney should released it the first week so it could be top 10 as well but her team was a mess!!!
