I agree with Nicki, and yeah she does come off a bit pressed but that's because she is. I don't see why the video didn't get the nod for video of the year because everyone knows it, whether or not you like it (and i didnt like the video either). point is this, MTV probably did all this snubbing in an effort to piss people off so they can get mentions and promo for this whack ass awards show, and they did. no matter how much we all love britney, you can't deny the fact that anaconda probably should have been nominated in more big categories. i dont think she's blaming britney for anything, all she's doing is using britney and robin and miley as examples of how its ok for white artists to be raunchy in videos and get the accolades for that but when nicki does her version of that you label porn and smut and trashy. tits and ass is tits and ass no matter how it was filmed and who was filmed showing it. if its ok for britney and other white artists to go to their version of raunchy then it should be the same for nicki. that's all she has been trying to say this whole time.

I don't know if this particular case has to do with race... I don't know, I'm not Nicki, but if she feels that way then there's a reason for it. Black people are struggling a lot in America right now with racism and such, so the points Nicki is making are very valid. Anaconda did make a lot of a cultural impact... regardless of whether or not you liked the video. 
The flaw I see in Nicki's argument here is that the worst video in that category is 7/11, and if anyone took Nicki's nomination it was Beyonce... 7/11 didn't deserve a nomination at all. It made no cultural impact. I forgot it even existed until these nominations came out. It has nothing memorable or ground-breaking about it. All it is is Beyonce shaking her ass. It was filmed on an iPhone for goodness sake. And that got nominated for video of the year? Beyonce doesn't have white privilege to explain that one, though. Nicki should take that up with Beyonce, tbh.
The point Nicki was making was that Taylor broke records and such that Anaconda did and gets credited for it, but Anaconda didn't. Whether or not people liked the video or thought it was classy or whatever is totally subjective. But Nicki is right. Black women in America are at a disadvantage that white women aren't.
But using Britney as a comparison isn't the best thing to do. Britney has been snubbed over and over again by award shows. She didn't win her first VMA until 2008 for goodness sake, and she's the most influential popstar of this generation so like...
