Since it's both Piece Of Me and Oops turn to get their certifications and lots of threads about it are coming I thought about making a nice thread about both.

This is Piece Of Me thread :)

Tell us about the first time you listened to this song and what you though of it, the first time you watched the music video and what you thought of it, what you like the most about it, if your friends/family like it.. etc

Hopefully this thread will help to get the certification, know all of us here a little bit more and have fun reading stories :P

Here's mine:

It was late 2008 and Womanizer was EVERYWHERE. That's how I became a Britney fan. It may not be the most appropiate music video for a 10 year old but I was crazy about it and it led me to find about about Britney. I knew a few songs and that was it tbh.

I watched all her music videos, watched performances, listened to all her albums, watched interviews and within a week or two I was already a fan :2:

I had never heard Piece Of Me until I casually watched it when I was watching all her music videos. I liked the song and I thought the video had a strong message though I didn't know much about the breakdown and paparazzi drama back then. The song had a completely different meaning afterwards tbh.. :crying3:

My friends like the IDGAF vibe of song and say it's catchy. My cousin loves it, it's her fave song from Blackout ;)

In 2013 I found this video. It's a ballad version of Piece Of Me that basically takes all the sassyness away and sends the message of the song straight forward. It's really touching and it's made me cry many times. Our queen is so strong :crying1:

I hope you guys enjoy it

Now watch the official music video :yayy:  and feel free to share your story with us :tybow:

This song was released in the UK the same week she was hospitalised and it was so ironic,I remember everyone jumping on the bandwagon of 'poor Britney, this song is so true, let me buy the song'. It was annoying but at the same time, I was loving that Godney was getting her hits in the breakdown. The queen was heading to #1, but then basshunter released a sex tape to boost his sales and his song 'now you're gone' ended up being #1 instead and Godney was number 2.  :thefuck:

When I bought Blackout the day it came out, it was an immediate favorite right along with Radar and Heaven on Earth. I remember my internet being down when the video came out, so I forced myself to wake up at 4 am to see the video on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown for the first time ever. I was slayed.

I didn't become a fan of Britney until 2010 so that's when I watched the MV for the first time. At first I was just like "Oh, ok, it's a nice video and the song is really good" but nothing too special, you know? But then I looked up the lyrics and I was completely slayed when I realised how sassy and unapologetic that song is! I was embarrassed to listen to it around my parents because of the moaning sounds at the beggining tho :orangu:

The video was good, all things considered and I definitely enjoyed it way more than gimme more. I also feel that it deserved all the vmas it won considering its competition. I definitely don't think they bought the awards. I wish that she would do this original choreography on stage though especially because she came up with it herself

I was living my own crazy year in 2007/2008 so it was so perfect. Like I could really relate to that song, even tho I am not famous person, but still! It was my favourite at the time with Gimme More.

I can't remember what I thought when I saw the video at the first time, but I really like the video so... :smokeney: The whole blackout era fit into my life back then perfectly!

it was the ideal Britney song to come out during that time of her life. I remember reading a review where they pointed out that Britney didn't even write any of the lyrics in the song and how it made it that much better and goin "oh my god, that Britney's shameless" :gloria:
