Pretty Girls was released to see the reaction of the GP with an urban song after fans been asking for an urban album. Since the single didn't work well the album will not go for an urban sound.

 

When will we get the official lead single?

The lead single of Britney's ninth album will be released on mid September. The premiere of the single and music video will be at the same time.

The video is very raw. With a 90's grunge aesthetic. In some scenes Britney is performing inside a tunnel. We also will see Britney mocking about her old persona on some situations from the past. I can't say no more.

There's a really cool duet with Steven Tyler.

Britney will stay in Vegas till summer 2016 and a world tour will start on October 2016

There will be some performances on American & international TV shows promoting the album & lead single. She's also gonna be featured on the cover of some impoRtant magazineS.

It's gonna be a "rebellious" album with Britney killing the "old popstar" to show her true persona.

-LOL! Ok soooo like many fans prob anticipated, it was def a test run. Britney knew she needed to shake up things and being in this residency was going to plateau any new music so she knew she had to get with the times so no not really like the 1st single of her new project. I think now she has some sort of idea of what direction she should be taking B9 w/.

- I wanna say she's trying to push for a Spring/Fall release like FF maybe a little later than March but def before December

Momney must have been hibernating because it's very edgy, more in your face but regained its Britney sound that left... It's progressive some funky 80's rock influences, definitely R&B & Urban influenced, definitely a nod to Blackout on the darker side but not too dark I'd say it's a cross breed of Blackout and Britney with ITZ accents. still pop but def more fuller, urban and not overly chanty

-yeah but I can't say, all I can say is respect Britney with the longest hair you've seen her, more flowey dancing she's doing a lot of hits it gives me Boys choreo teas

- Well Britney is at a crossroads right now with this, apparently she's debating on going back on tour or staying with Vegas, she has plans for both so she's pretty well prepared. I will tell you though if she happens to stay in Vegas we can expect a large gap break because they'd revamp the entire show to promo the new album!

No, it wasn't. It was poised as a response to Nicki Minaj after Iggy became embroiled in a feud with her, Iggy began a lesbian relationship with Britney (covered up by Britney's perceived straight relationship) to compete with Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj's lesbian relationship. Unfortunately, after the song flopped to the pits, the couple had a huge fight, beginning on Twitter, which led to Britney having PIggy blacklisted. 

 

When will we get the official lead single?

Teasing will begin very soon, it's most likely that it will drop in mid-November to avoid competition and peak in sales during the holiday. If the single goes well, it will be the opening track during Britney's Super Bowl performance.

I managed to hear a decent amount of the first verse, I'm not sure of the title for the single but it's aimed as to be an independent anthem for women.

Tentatively... it's scheduled to drop in the 2nd or 3rd week of February, but it could be pushed up or back, depending on Britney's POM schedule and what she's allowed to due in promotion.

 

What will it sound like?

The sound of the record is intended to be progressive but also play on the strengths of Blackout & In The Zone. Writers confirmed for the project include Sia, Keri Hilson, Frank Ocean, Detail, and Danja, with the latter two also serving as producers. She's still in the middle of recording so details are always able to change.

Britney's polishing up on her acting before recording begins.

 

What collabs will the album include? we understand these might change at the last minute....as always.

Nicki Minaj is all but confirmed for a track on the album, and there's a chance she may even be featured on a remix of the lead single as a last resort to boost sales if the Execs have their way. Britney's been spotted linking up with up & coming RnB singer Tinashé and expressed interest in getting her on the record as well.

Apparently, PG was the lead single to a big juicy urban album that's already done, but now they think it's a wrong move and it's shelved next to Original Doll and Bird of Paradise and won't be released. They starting from scratch, and they're hopin to get a new single out by the end of August.

 

The single isn't named yet, but there is the line "I could kiss you for hours / and not miss a thing / read my lips now" and it's really evoking old school Brit. Brinni was feelin pretty low after PG but really liked how Janet's new single didn't surrender itself to flavor-of-the-day pop trends and stuck true to Janet. The single's got updated ITZ vibes, and the album is aiming for this ITZ-meets-Femme Fatale. Weird synths. They're feeling their way through it, might not even get released this year. I think they might aim for a January release to ensure Brinni another #1 album with no competition
