"Shine Bright Always"

         Hello all! First off , I would like to introduce myself; I am David LeCours II and I am seventeen years old. I am from Massachusetts and I am openly gay. As some of you know I met Britney in Las Vegas at her amazing Piece Of Me Show around this time last year and I wanted to share the exciting experience with my second family, you; the Britney Army.....Here is my Britney Spears meet and greet story.

On August 20, 2014 I got the chance to meet my lifelong hero Britney Spears for the second time, and for that I am completely blessed.

The day started out in sunny Las Vegas with my Mom and my best friend Savanna. From the moment I woke up, I could not contain my excitement, I was beyond happy. As the time got closer I started getting ready for the magical night!

Around 6:30 PM I got to Planet Hollywood Casino and got in line for our pre-show Backstage tour/Meet and Greet with some amazing people whom I met that night, my friends Kimiya and Sean! As we chatted a man came up to us and told us it was time for our tour of the backstage.

When we got into the venue we were greeted with the kind, loving, and energetic Felicia; I absolutely adore her! Fe told us the rules for the backstage tour and after she finished, the experience began!

On the tour we got to see so many amazing things! We saw the wings Britney uses for "Everytime", got to touch the "Me Against The Music" prop, and even saw all of Britney's costumes for the show, it was awesome!

As the tour finished, Fe escorted us back to the venue entrance and told us to sit tight or freshen up and that she would be back to get us for our meet and greet in about a half hour.

When Fe came back to get our small group, it was time to meet Britney. As we were brought to the backstage where meet and greet was, we were told all the rules and had any questions we had answered. We waited patiently, and then the door opened.....it was time.

About five or six people went and then it was my turn, the last person. I was so excited to be meeting Britney again.

As I walked up the platform I could see Britney's shadow through the backdrop, I couldn't stop smiling.

Finally, there she was! In a pink top looking so beautiful and smiling. I introduced myself and she said "I'm Britney, it's so nice to meet you!" I took out my letter that was approved to give to her and said "I know you are very busy with the boys and the show, but if you have time please read this...You have had such an impact on me." She responded, "That is so sweet, thank you so much...of course!" After our conversation we took our picture and I said "Thank you again for just being you and being there for me when nobody else was." Britney smiled and said "Thank you so much David, that means a lot. I hope you enjoy the show." I then walked out and tried my best not to cry. As Kimiya was waiting for me at the exit, we began walking back into the venue and all of a sudden one of Britney's security guards came after us and said for me to go see Felicia because Britney had wanted to "respond to your letter." I then began to shed a few tears. As I walked with Kimiya to Felicia again I was so happy and my smile was just so big. I gave Fe my address and a hug and told her "Thank you so much for letting me give my letter to Britney, thank you so much."

As I got back into the venue I went to go find my seat where my best friend Savanna was waiting for me. When I approached her she asked me "How was it!?" and I instantly bawled my eyes out. I explained to Savanna the whole story and how Britney wanted to respond to my letter and she too began to cry with me because she knows how much Britney has helped me and said "I am so happy for you David; you deserve it, I love you." Then the highly anticipated Piece Of Me show began and as you all know, our girl got to WORK BITCH!

August 25, 2014:

Fast forward a few days after I got home, just another normal pool day with my other best friend Abby at my Mom's house in Massachusetts. The mail man came and we heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and he handed me a package for my Step-Dad and our mail. After shutting the door, I put the package on the table and went through what seemed like a lot of mail. As I flipped through the mail, I dropped the last envelope on the ground by accident. I picked it up and saw it was addressed to me with a return address for Felicia in Mississippi, I jumped up and down and then opened the envelope that would change my life.

After reading the letter, I was beyond emotional. I didn't know what to do other than cry and smile. It was the best feeling in the world knowing that the person who saved my life took the time to write back to me in such a heartfelt way.

To this day, I am stronger than ever and have overcome some of the difficult insecurities about myself that use to eat my alive. I've learned to love who I am and embrace every amazing thing about myself and to not let the negative people get inside my head to bring me down.

Again, I would like to thank Britney for responding. You truly have changed my life, even though some people think that "it's just a letter" it isn't to me. It's something that has changed my life and has made me love and embrace who I am and not to be afraid to show my sparkle to the world. From this day on, I continue to do what Britney told me to do....Shine Bright Always.

What an AMAZING experience and we are so happy that Britney got to write back to you David!!
