HannahLou Posted August 9, 2015 #1 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I picked a copy of Lynne Spears' Through The Storm book (cost me 99p! lol) Just wondered if any of you have read it and what you think of it? 1
David Posted August 9, 2015 #2 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I tried to read it but it was boring as hell. 2
PopMusicJunkie Posted August 9, 2015 #3 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I read it a few years back. It's a quick, easy read with nothing new except background info on her parents and Bryan. Perhaps I should reread but the one thing I didn't like was Lynne constantly blaming others instead of taking accountability. 1
HolySpearit Posted August 9, 2015 #4 Report Posted August 9, 2015 It started out slow and boring for me when Lynne is giving the whole background story of her family history... like we don't curr where Britney's grandparents were from tbh ..... but once she started talking about her family life it got interesting and once she gets to 2007 I found it really fascinating overall you do learn a lot about every member of Britney's family
GlenCoco Posted August 9, 2015 #6 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I tried to read it but it was boring as hell. 1
Ariana Grande Posted August 9, 2015 #7 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I've never found it on any library in my country tbh.. But at the same time I've never looked for it so
Joanhs Posted August 9, 2015 #8 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I liked it a lot, but I knew it wasn't gonna be about only Britney, It's written By Lynn to explain Lynns life.. But thats fine, I want to know Britneys family as well, her background, her upbringing and the life before she was born. I like to imagine books as if they were movies, and I could easily see this one for me as a movie. I can see the whole thing as a lifetime movie. If they ever make one, they should make it 50% through the storm and 50% inside the dream. Last year, at the Copenhagen Change Lingerie fashion show, I ran up to Lynn, just to tell her I loved the book, she looked really surprised because anyone else wanted photos and to sit on her lap and stuff, but I just stood there, praising her book, and she looked very happy 1
InTheToxicZone Posted August 9, 2015 #9 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I thought the book was an enjoyable, quick & easy read. There are so many misconceptions about the book and things that were allegedly in it, but a lot of those rumors are fake. The book was not exploitative, but the 2007/Sam Lufti information was quite interesting. Obviously I would have preferred more information on Britney, but it gives you an idea why Britney has become the person she is. 2
HannahLou Posted August 10, 2015 Author #10 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Thanks guys! I'll let you know how I get on with it!
ValetGirls Posted August 10, 2015 #11 Report Posted August 10, 2015 I tried to read it but it was boring as hell. :orangu:

HannahLou Posted August 25, 2015 Author #13 Report Posted August 25, 2015 Hey Guys, so I've finished the book and it was a little boring to begin with but once I got to the stuff about Britney 2007 I found it really interesting! I'm totally shocked that she hit a child though! I need Britney to write a book now! 1
Josie Jean Posted August 25, 2015 #14 Report Posted August 25, 2015 Hey Guys, so I've finished the book and it was a little boring to begin with but once I got to the stuff about Britney 2007 I found it really interesting! I'm totally shocked that she hit a child though! I need Britney to write a book now! Inside the Dream is wonderful. I really enjoyed that one. I have Lynn's book- I read like a chapter and it didn't interest me as Inside the Dream but since it's so short, i'm thinking about reading it- i did pay for it so why not BTW, i bought a hard cover copy for like maybe 5 dollars used and now it's 50? dkjgejgeklg http://www.amazon.com/Britney-Inside-Dream-Steve-Dennis-ebook/dp/B002RIA03A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440499220&sr=8-1&keywords=britney+inside+the+dream&pebp=1440499242844&perid=0M0SP4PT9SX23C2MNN8T

Bluealien Posted August 29, 2015 #16 Report Posted August 29, 2015 I read it a few years back. It's a quick, easy read with nothing new except background info on her parents and Bryan. Perhaps I should reread but the one thing I didn't like was Lynne constantly blaming others instead of taking accountability. I thought the same, I was annoyed at how she kept playing the victim and also annoyed at how she kept saying she wasn't a stage mom and that she was doing what Britney wants. What she was doing was basically the definition of a stage mom and she even admits she wanted to be in the spotlight but was too afraid so she is living her dream through Britney. 1
