Alternative Meanings To Songs

So we actually never 100% get the full meaning behind most of Britney's songs because she hardly ever talks about most of the tracks she's recorded and when she does talk about the song's meanings she's always very vague, short on words and such, and then everything is about falling in love or out of love, going to the club, yadayadayada. I think she does that to leave the meanings open to interpretation (and also because she hates doing interviews).

 

I was listening to Passenger and I was thinking that it very much seems to be about one thing, trusting someone in a new relationship, but then the thought hit me that maybe the song is not entirely about that and could be about something else. I know people have brought up religion with this particular song too but my thought was it could also be about sex and not being domineering the bed and then also being open to the idea of sex in public (maybe I'm having a moment but anyway)
