Britney wasnt really even focused on BJ either , she had too much going on at once . Focusing on her show and her album . Lets not forget that William cut out all the producers that Britney wanted .. So that right there says it all

MJ took 2 months to record "thriller" and back then it wasnt as highly competitive as how music is today . Thats why artists now take their time making sure everything is perfect because theres major competition

It was way way more competition in the 80/90s

Add on top of that MJ was a black artist so he already to work extra hard.

Before Thriller no black artist has had a no 1 hit in over 7 yrs.

I have hopes for B9 because its literally been a year since she begun the process and its still not even ready . After all the producers that have come forth about it and about the songs being done , she probably has like 7-10 songs done already

You can tell the priority was on Vegas and Britney Jean was like a b-side project to create some buzz around the residency. Hopefully this time they are actually concentrating on the album.

She worked with a lot of producers like MikeWill, HitBoy & other great producers ... For some reason only Will music made cut smh

BJ wasn't her best and it certainly wasn't rushed neither.

I actually enjoy the album the problem was besides WB it's no strong stand out tracks.

Even WB suffered because it had to be edited for radio which totally waters it down

It was rushed to release just in time for Vegas, Britney was probably to busy rehearsing so they used Myah Marie to speed up the process because they didn't have time to wait for Britney to record when she was free from her busy schedule. 

 

I do find it really weird that will.i.am scrapped all of the producers, there is a possibility that Britney could of already recorded maybe less than half or a little more of the album with the producers but then will.i.am wanting to scrap the whole thing, go down the EDM route that he wanted to go down, therefore using Myah Marie as a Britney fill in since she couldn't make most of the recording sessions... Potentially meaning that the songs that are completely and only Britney on the record could be the only songs that made the cut from her previous songs with other producers.

 

I'm gonna be honest I enjoy the album to, I hardly listen to it tho. It's definitely her weakest album and the only songs I really listen to from the album is Alien, Work Bitch, Perfume, Perfume (The Dreaming Mix) and sometimes other tracks.

 

I don't think Work Bitch suffered at all tbh, it was a hit and was liked well by the GP and the fanbase.

 

But yeah you can tell Britney Jean was rushed to sh!t. I mean the Alien glitch for example, If they cared about the album so much they would of fixed it before releasing and they'd actually take the time to spell the song names correctly on the physical copy. Britney Jean was a rushed promotional mess.

 

She seems to be really taking her time on the album which is the best thing, creating an album takes a lot of time and work so I hope that the album is carefully perfected to be an amazing musical masterpiece. I'm very excited to hear it when it is ready, I hope it's amazing

Lmao exactly ! I also dont take BJ seriously because Britney got Danja, Sean garrete, & mike will made it & william scrapped them all just because he wanted britney to go in a different direction. Yeah BJ was rushed...A reliable source back in 2013 said B's team were struggling for material, because several producers pulled out due to the lack of promotion the album was going to receive. Mess. You would think her team would spend some extra coins to pay the producers a little extra to actually get quality Brit music smh

Wow thank you guys! haha I know the speeding up the process using Myah thing kinda makes sense to me, but then again she was in Femme Fatale aswell but mainly as a background vocalist but she sang the main chorus on HATLM so idk

Myah didn't do the Chorus for HATLM. They used the writer's vocal from the demo. Britney's vocal can be find in the Chorus.

Will i am also didn't do a lot of the production on BJ. Brit's team used him more as a voice between Britney, the label and the writers and producers. Most of BJ was done by minions.

And most of the known music that was cut was done before Britney really recorded the song. They were negotiating changes probably to get Britney writing credit.

And then late in the game producers pulled their songs probably once the Vegas set list was finalized and no other BJ song would be worked in except for projected 3rd single Alien. So no promo performances, no videos and no vegas performances. These producers felt their songs were better off else well.

Imo BJ has some great songs and great protential. It does feel like remixes and Britney sung demos but in the end that is what it is...

And Will openingly complained that he mostly was telling other writer producers not that dark. Which maybe was done because Britney wanted to have fun jamming in your car with friends songs that she mentioned but I think was largely done because it was going to be Vegas promo and they didn't want to deal with having Britney do a lot of intimate explaining of songs. Woah woah woah woah sis slow ya roll lol .. We dont know any of these things to be true .. I wa truely stating the facts that were actually on the table . Antony Preston , William orbit, David Guetta ..etc are the producers that actually work close with Will , so it definitely was his call.. He was the executive producers which means he had full control of what goes and doesnt go in the album

Britney had Danja, Mike Will Made It, & Sean Garrette on the album and Will scrapped them .. Danja even admitted on twitter that Will scrapped him ..

Also there is no proof that Briney recorded the Danja song. It was just selectect to be submitted to her unlike the FF versions. It seems Danja hasn't worked with Britney in years.

And those people you mentioned as Will folk are people fans wanted Brit to work with sometime alone the way following FF. Well not AP but he's a minion who Larry had working on all his acts which included Will at the time.
