ROUGE Posted August 15, 2015 #1 Report Posted August 15, 2015 It seems to me that most of the general public and music lovers of today are divided 50/50 on whether Britney Spears is a true pop legend. Perhaps some feel it's too soon in Britney's career for her to be called such things. Same thing could be said within her own fans.. Here is why I believe Britney Spears deserves this honour.. - Britney has sold a whopping 85 million albums (Some will even argue this number is higher) despite the large decline in the music industry shortly after her debut. - Britney has one of the most successful and impactful debuts of all time. - Britney has had many iconic moments and looks over her career. (BOMT song/video, OIDA performance, IAS4U cheoro/performance, Kissing Madonna, Toxic video/song, It's Britney Bitch, Head Shaving) - The media had been fascinated with Britney from 1998-2008 to the likes that had not been seen since Micheal Jackson. - Britney has one of the biggest comebacks of music history despite many believing her career was unsavable in 2007. - Britney has performed with both the King & Queen of Pop (MJ and Madonna) - Britney is named by many of today's artists as their inspiration. - Britney's performing skills were praised during her peak and was often referred to as a performer rather than a singer. - Britney has one of the most successful Las Vegas residences of all time. - Britney is one of the most successful recording artists of all time. Keeping in mind Britney has achieved all of this and she is only in her early 30's. Do you believe Britney Spears is a Pop music legend? Or do you believe that she deserves no such title?

There really isn't many other artists who have achieved what Britney has, she has made pop history, other than MJ I can't say anyone else was more impressive in their prime than Britney, she was ON POINT. One Direction, Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift.....although they blew up, their impact was nothing compared to Britney's reign. She is a total legend. 1

Each side has its valid points and it's fun to discuss.Its dumb because she is a legend and shouldnt even be a question , she paved the way for our new generation today .. Why do u think many artists of the new generation & up coming artists always mention Britney as their idol and how they look up to her ..u dont hear them mention any other artist its always Britney Even artists such as Beyonce , Jlo, Taylor , Ariana ..etc are inspired by Britney on what she does and they use it . Britney has been in this industry for almost 2 decades and is a successful artist , trust me shes a legend and no one can say other wise
