What an AWESOME picture!

For the last 17 years, I have had such a strong admiration for Britney. From the moment I heard Baby One More Time for the first time, I was so intrigued! I was lucky enough to see most of Britney's tours over the years (except my personal favorite one, Onyx Hotel) but I never got to meet her! After seeing her show last year, I was determined to meet her some day. Fast forward 12 months and I made my dream come true last night.

I saw the show on Wednesday night with my sisters and Britney's energy made everyone in the crowd go wild including my sisters. After the show we had a great time talking with Fe who was sweet enough to have my sisters come to the backstage tour! So Friday comes along and somehow I was so calm all day. I knew I didn't want an awkward experience or meet and greet.

My sisters and I got to the theater at 6:30 to meet Fe for the backstage tour. It was surreal to step foot on the very stage that Britney does. It was awesome to see my seat from the stage too. Fe goes over so much backstage and allowed us all to touch the Me Against the Music prop. After the tour, Few escorted my sisters out of the venue and the rest of us took a quick break before waiting in line to finally meet the queen.

Somehow I still managed to be so calm and collected during this wait! I just kept to myself and tried not to over think anything. I was just praying I'd have enough time to tell her the few things I needed to.

As one person is meeting Britney, you're waiting behind the backdrop and you can see her shadow vividly! Still, I somehow wasn't nervous! Whenever I am feeling any type of emotion at an all time high, I'm actually really calm. (That's why I hate surprises, I look unfazed lol) but it worked in my favor here because I didn't want to make Britney nervous.

It was finally my turn. I turned the corner and there she was standing so cute with her arms behind her back like classic Britney and she was just so tiny! She smiled and I said "hi Britney, my name is Robert" and she put her hand out and said nice to meet you. She looked me up and down and said "you smell so good, what are you wearing?" I was thrown off that she actually asked me a question! All I said was thank you, but forgot to say what I was wearing! lol at that point I asked if I could put my arm around her for the picture and she totally loosened up and said, "of course!" We snapped the picture and then I just told her what I always wanted to.

I thanked her for inspiring me to be the dancer I am today and that I teach at a dance studio. Then she goes "aw so you're a dance teacher? That's so cool" I told her I have a boys hip hop class with kids the same ages as her boys and that they adore learning her choreography and her eyes lit up! She told me to keep inspiring kids

then I showed her my Britney tattoo of the quote, "I go through life like a karate kid" she laughed and told me that was so sweet. After that she said "well I hope you enjoy the show" and I told her I would cheer her on and asked for a hug. She said "of course sweetie" and I got a genuine hug. After that I said thanks again and walked off.

I was so thankful no one rushed me! I got to say all that I needed to tell her. And I couldn't be any happier with my picture! She seemed pretty comfortable the entire time I was with her. One thing I couldn't get over is how little she is! You get an idea how small she is in my pic. Her waist is so tiny!

Afterwards, the show was so amazing! She was on fire and had a spark the entire show. She really does feed off of good energy. When I went to pick up my picture, Fe told me she gave Britney the bracelet I had custom made for Britney. It had a Joan of arc quote on it that read, "I am not afraid, I was born to do this" I explained that even though Britney is a superstar, she's a person just like the rest of us. We all have our moments and I hope when she's having an off day, she can wear the bracelet and be reminded how strong she is. Fe loved that and told me Britney loved the bracelet. I hope Britney really got it!

Overall, it was the best experience ever. I feel humble, content and just so thankful for the experience. If you get a chance to meet her - enjoy it, act calm and normal and you'll have the best time
