How come Britney doesn't like when ppl talk about her impact & or how she inspired others?

Like Ive read a couple of M&G's and fans would tell her about how much impact she has made and what an inspiration she is and how they look up to her (basically pouring their hearts out) and Britney would quickly turn the tables and be like "oh you're so cute, I love your shirt" ..like really?

And another perfect example .. LAST NIGHT AT THE TCA's (btw can we talk about how hot she looked?)

The TCA's did a mini tribute to Britney on her impact on how we grew up w/ her on tcas since 1999 and the start of her career and this was the faces Britney made

Idk, what do u guys think?

BTW DID I MENTION HOW SEXY SHE LOOKED LAST NIGHT? I loved everything ! Hair, makeup, dress .. It was all on point .. Britney has never worn a dress like that before , so its definitely jawdropping

Shes constantly being told about her impact & how shes an inspiration to fans all the time during m&gs and she probably tired of hearing it all the time .. That explains her resting bitch face .. YES !!

Britney doesn't see herself the way we see her. She's just a normal person with a not so normal job, so having strangers come up to her and pour their hearts out to her probably makes her feel awkward.

I agree! They treat her as a shadow of her old self. Her career until 2004 was of course the most successful (nobody can doubt that) but that was only half the way until today. People don't recognize her current work and that probably is very annoying.

 

Remember that when buzzfeed praised her performance in POM she thanked them and she even took their advice (possibly) and changed her pants!!!

When ppl do tributes its more like praise for everything the artist has accomplished .. Why do they have to wait till the artist is retired just to do a tribute? That doesn't make sense .. I think its ok for them to praise an artist even while they are still working .

Praise her for what current work? She still hasn't done anything .. Shes still working on her album

Don't wanna shade her TCA appearance by any means but thats kinda true...

 

No one expects her to jump up and down after a tribute or cry her little heart out but just PRETEND to be flattered is the key I guess.

Very good question. I noticed her weird expression right away. At first I didn't know what to think about it  but now this crossed my mind: she knew she had to get on stage and do a little speech so maybe she was already very nervous and thinking about that speech, that she obviously rehearsed. So mabye she was more like "Ok, let's get this over and done with".

 

I don't know any other explanation. Maybe she just didn't know how to react. Clapping for yourself is a little weird but of course a smile would have been better. But in the end, we all know Britney doesn't like being praised. She just doesn't understand that people admire her or look at her as this big celebrity.

Yea that is true , with Vegas ending and all hopefully she releases an album with a tour .. That would definitely put her back on top and hopefully put her at ease if thats the case

I'm not saying that they only do tributes when artists are done I'm saying she could possibly feel that way and that's why she's not here for it sometimes. She may think that tributes are only for artists who's time has come and gone and doesn't feel like she counts for that. I personally think she deserves more tribute and acclaim because I know she didn't really get it back then but anyway it is what it is now.

I think it's a lot of pressure to carry such accolades. I also think it's hard for her to be so segregated from the general public, so I imagine how difficult it is to then be put on a pedestal around her peers. Just my opinion
