First off, I still can’t believe that I actually met GODNEY last night. She has truly been an Idol to me since I was seven years old. After meeting her, I realize that she is just as incredible as I could have ever imagined.

So it all started when I checked in at the VIP counter at noon to pick up my armband and tickets. I was so stoked and once that armband was put on my wrist, it all sank in. I was actually going to meet the queen in just over six hours! I headed back to the venue around 6pm and met up with a few other fans who were anxiously awaiting the 6:30 check-in time. That’s when Brit’s head of security came and briefed us on some quick pre-entry rules. We were then led into the venue and through security screening to be greeted by the one and only FE-FE! I was overwhelmed by the sweet, kind, and sincere welcoming that she gave us. She is the most outgoing and all around nicest person you will ever meet! I couldn’t but help myself, giving her hug after hug (P.S. she LOVES taking selfies)! Fe led us through the venue and we began to head to the stage! As I walked out onto the stage and down the cat walk, I was able to grasp a bird’s eye view of what it was like for Brit each night she graced us with her slaying presence!

The tour continues with an in-depth conversation about all aspects of the venue and stage (including the water, fire, and air used to make the show the spectacle it is). We then headed to the costume room! Scents of vanilla filled the air as we watched Brit’s head costume designed work on a new piece of wardrobe! I asked, what’s that you’re working on... She replied, “I can’t really say. But let’s just say you picked a great day to be backstage”. So you know what that means, NEW COSTUME SOON! While in wardrobe, we were able to see the “everytime” wings and dress up close. There were swarkowski crystals everywhere!

After tons of fun facts and a tour of the quick change room, we headed back out to the front of the venue. Fe told us to go and refresh in the bathrooms and grab a drink. We were told to be back by ten till eight so that she could lead us backstage for the meeting! After about a half an hour it was time! I was about to be led back to meet my idol. We were taken out of the venue and through a loading dock behind planet Hollywood (where I was able to snap a picture with Willie!). One by one (there were about 12 of us in the M&G), we were led by security back onto the stage to see her!

As I walked around the back drop, I laid eyes on one of the most beautiful women I have ever met! I smiled and said “Hello, I’m Austin Martin”. To that she replied, “Hi Sweetie, I’m Britney” (I laughed at the thought that she felt the need to introduce herself.) As I walked toward her, she reached out and gave me a huge warm hug. Then she stepped back and looked at me and said, “Ohh my gawd, you look just like my friend Cade!” Robin Greenhill laughed and said “oh my god you do!” We then put our arms around each other and snapped a pic. The photographer said to hold tight so she could take another as Britney was looking towards me and not the camera. After the picture, I simply told her how long I’ve been a fan and that she was even more beautiful in person! To that she responded, “you’re sweet” (cue the glee dentist scene) and then continued to say I was handsome as well. I was no longer a nervous wreck, but happier than ever! After being led off the stage and back to my seats, it was time to enjoy the best show in Vegas… and of course brag to everyone that I just met, BRITNEY BITCH!
