So superbowl 50 has been already planned and it was started a year ago (even before Katy's superbowl show).

There has been rumors of Britney performing for the Superbowl since 2012 and she still hasnt , yall will never learn. Always setting yourself up for disappointment

Can't believe some people still have hope with this.. The girl is too lazy to even perform live on the actual stage of an award show, do y'all seriously think she'll do the superbowl ?

Plus, i mean let's be real, nobody buy her music anymore , she's not the IT girl at all, she absolutely isn't in the spotlight,  0 exposure, they won't choose someone that nobody except her fans cares about.

That's really how i saw it! "Britney's getting ready..." c'mon, it's quite clear!....and all she has been doing this year seems to be in preparation for that. I think 2016 will be a BIG year for Britney.

All of the award show appearances definitely appear to be an attempt to make her more relevant in pop culture. We have the guest TV appearance and I'm sure we'll have another random single this fall/early winter. I can definitely see this happening.

I think it was about nothing actually :| that's why I kinda can see her perfoming next year. She attended Super Bowl, filmed a commercial. Lots of signs

There is just so much in support of it, I find, even if not directly connected. 

Superbowl saying it's been planned well in advance (maybe negotiated with PH Contract to make it happen), Britney randomly attended the Superbowl Last Year (and saw Steven Tyler, who she performed with the first time she did the half time show), Superbowl said they had a lead in commercial hinting at Superbowl 50, and Britney had this completely random, out of no where Commercial that showed her "Getting Ready" as she puts on Football Gear (she wore a football uniform for her 1st performance). Pepsi is the main sponsor, and she has had a previous relationship with the Brand. 

 

Then there was the rumors, reported by many sources, stating it was between Britney & Taylor Swift (with Swfit's reps denying the story, saying her relationship with Coca-Cola stops that dead in it's track).....leaving only Britney to be up for discussion? as far as we know. 

Add all of that to the fact Britney has been doing alot of random promotion, and events, with nothing to really to promote except her Las Vegas show. 
She has attended 4 award shows in the last year, one of which was The Espy Awards - a SPORTS ORIENTED SHOW - where she presented WITH A FOOTBALL PLAYER, something she didn't even do when she had an album to do. On top of that, she is doing this appearance on Jane The Virgin, which will air around the same time as the Superbowl....

 

Music wise, there has been rumors of a finished album for awhile, with Britney saying no, but a few great singles for sure......I could see Britney dropping a new single, maybe even a surprise album, around the time of the Superbowl (imagine a World Premiere of it during the Superbowl?)

Do I believe it will happen? Not really. Do I think it's in the realm of possibility? Yes. I mean u can't really say Britney is lazy because her body speaks for itself especially since we have all seen what she looks like when she is genuinely lazy. She is complacent and content with her situation. I do feel like when she is ready to promote an album or single we will get more promo then we did with PG OR BJ. Not old school Britney promo with TV commercials and shit but def more than we have gotten recently. She seems like she is willing to be in the public eye a little more now than she has been in years so in the words of our lord "you'lol have to wait and see"
