I wouldn't be so sure about that, i don't think she would have signed for 3 months only.. that's kind of ridiculous lol.

Original run is until the end of the year.. last year they added more dates to these 2 years and so she isn't doing 96 shows anymore throughout these 2 years but around 140 (i don't remember the exact number). Today's shows until december aren't a 3 months extension or whatever, it's still part of her 2 years contract.

It is because it was originally planned till today!

Lmao what a mess. Bye bye era 9 it's gonna be as bad as BJ era, which didn't even exist. I'm sick of Vegas and im sick of her, does she think everyone is a millionaire like her or what? And Lol at people thinking the show will be changed LMAO. She's not gonna change anything since she has no big break for this, at best there will be a new flop song and new costumes. That's it.

meh. Mixed feelings, but this is completely true:

Vegas did not cause any damage. It's done nothing but elevate her career. Not only is she making a power play that works for her and is something she obviously wants but it's brought out the performer in her and allows her ample time with her kids. This fanbase constantly wants Britney to be in control of her career and when she finally does, people cry foul. I understand the upset in the international faction of the Britney Army, but I think all of you would agree you'd rather be seeing her kill it in Vegas than have a hit-or-miss tour like the last two efforts. It was BLATANTLY obvious Britney had extremely off nights on both the Circus and Femme Fatale tours, and some in Vegas but they are few and far between. The internet and social media has taken massive note of Vegas. And while you may clock the ticket sales for August, she sold just about 80% of her total tickets. Her career is not in some form of jeopardy like you all think it is.

it's August yall. POM's demographic here in America are back in school and not on vacation anymore. Brit's shows could sell 0/4000 tickets for the rest of the damn show and she's still worth at least a quarter billion USD. She's redefined Vegas and even my parents recognize that. Buzzfeed et al. sucks on the holy tit of Godney; honestly, it's been over a decade since I've seen Britney showered so much with praise by the media, whether it's her dancing, her looks, her kids. You name it, she's getting acclaimed for it. The only thing she needs is good music, which we all know that Brit makes her best work when she herself is happy and in control. Look at ITZ. Hell, even Blackout. Everything post-Blackout has been a slow and steady stream of forced shit, beginning with the safe pop of Circus to FF, an album whose creation & promotion was marked with boredom, dismay, and hatred on Britney's part, until we finally reached the point where she doesn't even want to sing the damn songs herself on BJ, leaving some tracks without bridges, verses, or anything that even comes close to the Britney standard. Meanwhile, the one song she takes the initiative in making by herself, Tom's Diner, becomes an instant GP fave and the most successful song off of GM's new album without even being a single.

Let Britney be Britney. Honestly. Quit the bitching. Take a seat. Use this time to fit your panic-stricken prolapsed ass back inside. Y'all are done. :takeaseat:

Better believe it's longer than 3 months because the original run was till today and they added 3 months since todays last actual show.

Sis she signed a 2 year contract.. If the show was suppose to end this month then thats not 2 years

Yes she has been killing it and we love it but doesnt mean we have to be happy she extended.

Vegas is ruining her, ever since shes stepped foot in Vegas she is no longer on top of the world like she used to .. If we were to log off twitter & the forum for a while we wouldnt know anything thats going on w/ Britney .. She can take that slayage on tour for the world to see

I disagree completely. Vegas has done wonders for her. She might not be everywhere but people are finally starting to respect her as an artist again since she's been slaying so much. Vegas is comfortable and she needs that stability in order to live a somewhat normal lifestyle with her kids and be in a happy place, which in turn makes her a much better performer and more likely to come out of her shell and do more appearances (which we have seen lately). At the end of the day, her happiness and mental health are the most important things. Not being #1 in the charts and on the cover of every magazine. I really doubt she would be doing this well if she'd not signed up for Vegas.

And let's be real, even if she were to ditch the show and go on tour she's still not going to be everywhere. We all know that just isn't how she rolls these days. Tbh I think she's using Vegas as an excuse and if she really wanted to she could still be on top of the world. All the other Vegas artists still do normal promo, including performances. There really shouldn't be anything stopping Britney from doing the same. She's also allowed to tour outside of the US, so...

I guess we really do have to wait and see. Yes they made a huge mistake with BJ because she & her team were preoccupied with putting POM together and obviously just threw it out there so there was music to promote the show with, but that isn't happening with B9. She's taking her time and seems really passionate about her career atm. Now that she's doing so well we might see her doing some actual promo. Hell, she might even do a few shows outside the US. You can't say it's ruining her career. Not yet.

(If anything the poor performances and weird/drugged personality from the FF promo ruined her)

I disagree tbH but but me having a back & forth with u would just be wasting my time because her contract is already signed so theres no use for me to be bitching about it if its not gonna change anything.. Ppl such as myself were complaining because it was not yet signed and maybe Britney & her team would see it but its too late now

And FF era did not ruin her LMAO , her album went platinum , she got the video vanguard award, & she won a VMA for TTWE & 3 of her singles made it on to the top ten w/ HIAM being at #1 .. BJ era & POM is what ruined her

The FF singles did very well and produced some of her biggest radio hits. But you can't deny her weird personality and incredibly sloppy performances really damaged her reputation. Just look at comments from non-fans from that era to now. She was DRAGGED during the FF now, and yet now people are appreciating her as a performer again and most people have recognized her progress, even the haters. Having #1 singles isn't everything, and won't happen until people have an interest in her as an artist again and not just some crazy aging celeb who pulls funny faces (which is basically all the X-factor did for her).

Im talking success wise not "reputation"

She is not going to have any chart success or high sales if people still think she's a mess though... that's my whole point. As much as we all want the old promoting/touring Britney back, y'all need to acknowledge that Vegas has been great for Britney personally, which in turn makes her a better performer, and thus people appreciate her more and are realizing she's still got it. That gives her much better chances at having success again.

Vegas wasn't and isn't really holding her back. That's a poor excuse from all parties, tbh. I mean yeah they rushed BJ because of Vegas but even if the album was flawless it still would have flopped. A large part of it was because they obviously expected it to do well just off her name but she had such a shit reputation, everyone was over her & her teams bullshit after the mess that was the FF era (and probably also the X-factor gig because plenty of fans hated that too). Another FF era and her career would have been completely dead, no matter how good or radio friendly the music was.

Vegas has given her a chance at redeeming herself and as I said, we just have to wait and see because she seems really into her career right now and since B9 is a completely different situation to BJ we could all be very surprised at what she does with it. There's no point carrying on and saying her career is over just because she's continuing on with POM.

We never said Vegas was holding her back , cuz it was actually her choice to do it again .. But it is ruining her career wise .. The only way she can show the world that she has still got it is by touring .. Just doing shows in Vegas is not showing the world lol its only showing the ppl in Vegas .. Showing the world would be touring , do u actually think the GP looks at her 15 sec instagram vidz and looks her up ?

:gloria:

but at the end of the day it doesnt matter she already signed the contract .. But Im sure she will promote the album since she wont be doing many shows and having major time off

I just did some research and Lionel Richie will also be doing a residency at the Axis next year which means Britney, Jlo, & Lionel will all be doing shows with the same year .. Which also means Britney wont be doing many shows .. Which is kinda a good thing because Vegas wont be in the way of the album

If it wasn't for Vegas tho no one would even want to see her on tour. It again brings me back to her needing to clean up her reputation which is what Vegas is doing. People DO watch the videos. Maybe not on Instagram, but the ones on YouTube have a fuck load of views.

She's progressed a lot but tbh it's only this last leg where she has truly started to let the old Britney shine through and she still has a way to go. Like I said, we have to wait and see how she handles this next era and hope she doesn't continue to use Vegas as an excuse not to promote. She can tour outside of the US and if she wanted to she could easily fit it between the Vegas shows. If she doesn't then we know it's simply because she can't be fucked. I won't accept that her doing POM is at fault. It's her and her team and that's it.

you guys are being so negative! I mean i'm not SUPER EXCITED about the pom extension but i don't think it ruined her career either. I prefer a "irrelevant" Britney who's confident again and who's getting better and better everyday not only on stage but in her attitude too than a "relevant" Britney like the Femme Fatale mess where Britney looked bored all the era not to mention those horrible performances on GMA and that FF tour omg Anyway we can't judge if B9 will be a mess or not we'll have to wait and see,if Britney keeps doing those tv appearances and keeps this confidence she actually has i'm sure this era will be great.

Oh no hunnay !! Theres no way shes gonna get out of this one lol, JLO & Lionel will also be having residencies there which means she aint gonna be doing that many shows

Which means theres no excuse not to promote , if JLO, Mariah, & Celine can do residencies and still promote then so can Britney . If Britney doesnt want to tour then thats fine (poor fans) but she should at least promote

Well that has been my point the whole time lol. It's not Vegas that's the problem, it's her & her team. There hasn't been any real excuses for her not to promote more than she has, especially Pretty Girls. BJ is kind of understandable because she was really busy putting together the show but at the end of the day she still could have done more. Vegas ain't killing her career - she has been doing that herself.
