Respect, and probably some decent business deals. Charlie is a very well respect guy in the industry, and being associated with him and his family gave Britney a new level of respect to some.

He is definitely gay. A lot of people in Hollywood have beards. It is so common. If anything they were good friends but not very romantic. He's definitely gay. But there was a blind right before it was announced they broke up that he thought she was nice, but too dumb for him so days later Britney gave him the axe and the axe on their friendship.
