I feel like Circus album is severely underrated among fans. 

This is a Circus album appreaciation thread. Feel free to tell us what you think about the album, when you bought it, your first time listenin to it, your favorite song and even a track-by-track review if you're as bored as I am

 

Womanizer: Britney's perfect comeback single. Can we talk about how it got Britney's first #1 in a decade? Everyone was loving the song back in the day and today it easily is one of Britney's signature songs. The song was also nominated for a Grammy Award and lost to Poker Face (but we all know Grammys can kiss Britney's ass). The music video was, in a word, HOT. The sauna scenes still give me chills. 

 

 

Circus: There is a reason the album was named after this track: it is a gem. The pre-chorus still slays me as much as it did the first time I listened to it. Dr Luke and Britney gave us another masterpiece. The music video is one of her best ever IMO. She looked so classy and hot at the same time and it's fun to watch.

 

 

Out From Under: I know I know, this song is a cover but Britney owned it. This is arguably one of the most beautiful Britney ballads ever and her vocals and omfg

 

Kill The Lights: Britney + Danja = POP PERFECTION. Kill The Lights is a song that could have totally been part of Blackout. It simply slays careers and should have properly been released as a single with a good music video.

 

Shattered Glass: Dr Luke and Britney again! Not a big fan of the autotune but I love the lyrics of the song and good to listen to if you're going through a heartbreak. 

 

If You Seek Amy: We all were and still are amazed by this song. It's not only the hidden message but the production that make it a fan favorite. Max Martin for B9 please!!! Let's talk about the music video, shall we? When will any other pop star serve slutty bitch and perfect momney in the same music video? What about the journalist controversy? Everything related to F U C K ME has no flaws

 

 

Unusual You: OMFG why is this song so perfect? I still can't make up my mind about whether this or Out From Under should have been the ballad single Circus never had. It's impossible not to love this song and the lyrics are so damn beautiful and another proof Britney + Bloodshy & Avant never gets old.

 

Blur: Some people call this Early Mornin' 2.0 and that can only mean positive things. Arguably her best vocals on the album 

 

Mmm Papi: Not a fan of this song tbh, but if anyone likes it this is your moment guys 

 

Mannequin: If you didn't instantly love this sing, the rehearsal video that leaked made it for you. I can't help but do that choreography everytime I listen to this song. It's sooo different and I love it because of that

 

Lace And Leather: I keep changing my mind about these things but this is currently my favorite Circus song. I've been listening to it A LOT lately. Love the beat and how sassy it makes me feel 

My Baby: Yeah I know the song is cheesy but it gets a lot more hate than it should. I find myself enjoying the song when I listen to it and I like it a lot more than I'm aware of. The vocals at the very end are enough reason not to hate this song

I really love the circus album tbh I love all the song choices including My Baby since its about her kids (It doesnt deserve to be a "least favorite")

My very first album  bringing back 6th grade memories   my third fav from hers  going to listen to it now

There's something special about this album that it always will be my favorite of hers and nothing will ever change that

Almost every track is flawless, I'm not a huge fan of Shattered Glass & Quicksand but they're still listenable.

Also we got some amazing demos such as Dangerous or Strangest Love

This album is one of my top 3! Sometimes I think it's my favorite from Britney!

You can't skip a song and 90% of them were single material.

The music videos became some of the best in Britney's entire videography and they were released right after gimme more/piece of me/break the ice when people were expecting another mess from her!

OK - I am not going to be liked here, although I love the song - and believe the song itself is underrated - the album as a whole is over rated... 

 

I feel that the theme is so strong and the album is not as strong as her previous albums.

 

Do not get me wrong I love the album - but I listen to it the least - it falls amongst my bottom 3 Brit albums. I am more of an ITZ fan - and BO (obvs) I like the sexy R'N'B vibe - always have - always will...
