"Christina Aguilera hasn't peaked yet... unlike Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez", says manager Irving Azoff

 

Christina Aguilera hasn't peaked yet, according to her manager Irving Azoff - unlike fellow superstars Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez. Azoff said that the US Voice coach is in the "prime of her career" at the moment and "never happier". 

When asked about a prospective Las Vegas residency for Aguilera in a podcast with Pauly Shore, Azoff said that it is "not time yet" for Aguilera "No disrespect to Britney, or to Jennifer Lopez, who's doing [a residency], and Shania [Twain], who did one, but Christina's not peaked yet," the manager said. "She's in the prime of the career." 

Britney recently extended her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood for another two years, while Lopez will begin her stint in January 2016. "[Christina's] about to go back on The Voice, about to finish a record, about to do another guest shot on Nashville, and the record's amazing," Azoff revealed. "She's never happier and never done better."

Xtina peaked way before than Britney. That's the reason why she's has been as coach on the X Factor for years & not releasing music.

I agree that Vegas is for pop stars who can't get anymore hits & #1 albums and doesn't have anymore the support of a big fanbase & GP. Vegas is kinda like a retirement for "old glories".

I don't think Vegas would work for Xtina since she's not a good entertainer. (It would flop harder than Bionic & Lotus together, tbh. People goes to Vegas shows to be entertained and doesn't give a fuck about how good vocalist you are.)

I think a supporting role in broadway is more for her...

Xtina peaked with Back to Basics, hasn't staged a full fledged tour since, and has been regulated to performing for private parties.  Despite all the success for The Voice she has benefited the least as a solo act and Vegas is no longer the graveyard for pop stars of yesteryear, the strip caters to a younger demo more so now than ever.

She has had too many flopping albums & a flop of a world tour that did not meet success , shes perfect for the 100 seat venue at the flamingo hotel. But hmm yes, there's a reason why people tend to say Vegas is for hasbeens , usually you do a vegas residency when you're at the end of your career , it's not a priority anymore, you're getting old,, whatever. An artist during his peak will tour, not stay stuck and disappear in Vegas.
