It is for us the fans and maybe for the mainstream-pop comunity too because, for example, a lot of people use hashtags like #workbith when they post their gym selfies on Instagram and stuff like that, but I wouldn't say it had the impact that some other songs like Oops had. To say that something is ICONIC it needs to be known and remembered by basically everyone  :yaknow:

It had the potential, but the lack of promo stopped it from reaching that point.

This.  The little promo the song did get (Snooki/Dancing with The Stars) actually helped a bit but would have done a lot better had Britney promoted outside her social media platforms.  The video remains one of her best, she looks (drop dead) beautiful, and captured the essence perfectly.   :fliph:

The song is not really iconic but maybe the "work, bitch!" part is the most memorable thing about the song.

"Gimme More" on the other hand is iconic - both the song and the catchphrase.

There was great potential there. I mean a song/video/choreo cannot be any more catchy than that.

It was also used in "New Girl" when Coach was forcing Nick to work out!

It was also a decent hit in the charts worldwide!

With one or two appearances in award shows this song would have been number one and THEN it would have become iconic! :crying1:

I know! When the MV first came out everyone was talking about how hot she looked, even people from the GP, so if they hadn't stopped there and continued with some serious promo of the song it would've become such a big hit  :crying1:

It is still known and remembered by many people even in my country. With proper promo and a bit better chart performance it could reach OIDIA's iconic status as a song and catch-phrase. Still it's iconic to me. Eith the unique beat, outstanding video and amazing vegas performances it climbed up to my top 5 favourites of all time
