I would just like to start out by saying that That's Where You Take Me is highly underrated :tbh:

This song is so sweet and lovely and mystical :yestbh:

Britney co-wrote it :yaknow:

and it was a single from Britney's iconic album Britney :yaknow:

but wait-- did anyone else forget that it was a single?? :omg:

I totally forgot because there was never a music video for it!!

what happened to the music video guys?

Did they put it on lockdown like Original Doll?  :ashley:

There was a rumour that one was filmed - but the directors confirmed that there is no such video in existence.. This could be another 'it does exist - but you will never know' moments that we have so much of.

Oh No wait - I am thinking of When Your eyes say it.. this video was just Back stage footage.. Click on the video link in my sig and there are full details of it :)

I was always wondering… Is it right that we call 'That's Where You Take Me' a single?

The infos we got are not 100% confirmed, also Britney or her team never spoke about it. The „exclusive" promo CD is unofficial from what I've heard, so is the "music video". Unlike Anticipating which was also released just in one country, we have no real proofs about its existence. Maybe it was just their country who decided to play this one song from the album on the radio and somehow it charted high (of course if this information is true)? Literally no idea, lol.

Well... in a weird way, we can say yes...  I mean, TWYTM was officially released only in the Philippines in early 2003, but it was still an official release, the song was regularly broadcast on the Filipinos radios and the video (a montage of live scenes and backstage from the DWAD tour) was regularly aired on the Filipinos tv music channels...

It was also released a rare physical single, that could only be found in stores in the Philippines.

The same goes for Anticipating; it was officially released only in France, the song was regularly broadcast on the French radios and the video was regularly aired on the French tv music channels...

Initially the project was that the video was made as a cartoon in which Britney was driving through Paris, in France, but for some reason it was decided instead to use the performance from Las Vegas (the one from the DVD) as the official video. The song was also promoted in a commercial tha Britney filmed for Toyota.

so yes, we can TECHNICALLY  say that somehow Anticipating and That's Where You Take Me were both singles from "Britney"

they didn't shoot a video :frenchy:

Yes, they did!  :toxicwink:

and it's not even from the same album :frenchy:

Seriously, who do you think I am? I obviously know very well that TWYTM and WYESI are not in the same album.... like, seriously?!?  :xf11:

What I meant was that you probably knew that it was filmed a video but never released, and you got a little confused about what song was it for... Since you named the topic "That's Where You Take Me Lost Music Video" and TWYTM's video was never lost, unlike the one from WYESI...

I thought of an ordinary and temporary human mistake that can happen to anyone, certainly not that you're uninformed on Britney's discography.... I'm sorry if you misunderstood me but this is what I meant...

I know all of that, but it's kinda different with Anticipating. We are sure the promo CD and vinyls are 100% real, also we have the offical chart history which confirms its release, right? Unfortunately, most of the things about That's Where You Take Me aren't confirmed at all. We just know that it was played in Philipines and that's about it.. That CD is most likely unoffical and many sources state the same thing - there is no evidence of its existence. You say they were selling it in stores - again, there's NOT any real confirmation, just fans' speculations. And I doubt they would become so rare if they had a mass production. Anyone could make them back in 2003 and start selling on eBay as bootlegs, we have no idea if the barcode is even real - unless you prove me wrong. I guess we'll never find out how it was until her team confirms some of these things... but for now they haven't and most of the "facts" we got come from unknown sources.

I think you have confused with "When You're Eyes Say It" that it would have been the fourth single from OIDIA instead of DLMBTLTK...

Britney DID ACTUALLY SHOT THE VIDEO, but it was never released because they decided to change single on the last minute and release DLMBTLTK instead....

I heard it was intended to be the 5th single, but they decided to release IS4U instead

I think i read somewhere that someone said they knew the person who made the TWUTM cd singles, but that could be a troll :moorangu: I think anticipating was a single because it had remixes, which TWUTM did not :tea2:

True, it even charted at 38 number in France if I'm correct :)

We'll never know - but I highly doubt TWYTM CD is an official release, at least there are zero proofs to confirm that. It was never sold at stores as some people say - don''t believe it's a promo either, it doesn't look like one. Like I said before - it will not surprise me if it was made by any person right after they started playing this song on the radio in Philipines and now people say it's super rare without any confirmation of its existence.

i'm from the Philippines! ;)
That's Where You Take Me peaked @ #2 on MYX Hit Chart (the leading music video channel in the philippines). i remembered the video consisted of some clips from DWAD Tour in JAPAN and some clips from "britney" promo tour in Australia.
