Every week we will post the highlights from the past week and summarise the most important Britney news of the week. BRITNEY AND THE VIRGIN It has finally happened! Britney has recorded her segment in the latest ‘Jane The Virgin’ series, so not long to go before we see this masterpiece on our TV screens! Brit was kind enough to remind us all that the show will be the number 1 watched show of the series.. Not sure if that is generally the finger we would use to indicate the number 1 – but you know our Brit always original and a game changer! Check out this behind the scenes pic... Seems Brit is on stage – could this mean that we are due a musical number? The cast had nothing but the greatest things to say about our Brit and judging by these pics – they were all super star struck.. do you blame em? Mark our words, this show will slay! We are crossing the days off of our calendar as we speak. THE DINER IS OPEN It is official – Tom’s Diner is a single!! A few months later than we wanted it to be – but we are still super ecstatic about it, nonetheless! Girorgio Moroder took to Twitter to announce the single release on the 9th October accompanied by a futuristic lyric video: Slay us with your neon lights Moroder! Do you think we may get an official video soon? Let’s hope so… Now let’s get the single to the top of the charts – purchase Tom’s Diner on every music platform (the remixes are smashing), request the track on every radio station and do not forget Spotify and Vevo clicks count too! GO GO GO!! CLASS A! Seems like unless you are really young, you would be locked out of this dance class heaven! Brit took to the studios again to host a dance class for the kids of our future! We cannot be more proud B, it would be a shame not to pass on your iconic dance moves to our future generation, with what is currently out there, it seems this is essential! Slaying since 1981! As if Britney has not made enough of a contribution to the music industry already, here she goes again, lending your faves a helping hand! Ladies and Gents, welcome the new, ‘Britney Bill’: A measure dubbed the “Britney bill†that would exempt stars who play at least four nights in Atlantic City from having to pay state income taxes on all shows in New Jersey that year is a step closer to becoming law. The measure is the latest of many efforts to help the struggling seaside resort. It got its moniker because it encourages the sort of multi night engagements that Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Motley Crue and other artists have done in Las Vegas. Britney Spears Staying in Las Vegas It was approved Monday (Oct. 5) by a state Senate committee. But a liberal think tank derided it as a “silly†waste of money. It’s sponsored by Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean and Senate Democrat James Whelan, who view it as a way to attract extended stands for A-list stars. “There is tremendous value in the ability to consistently draw world-class entertainment here, especially considering widely successful A-lister residencies in Las Vegas, where there’s no state income tax,†Kean said. “The more than 50,000 fans who paid to see A-list performer Maroon 5 in August gives a glimpse of how Atlantic City can transform into a premier entertainment destination, drawing tourists from the most densely populated Northeast Corridor, two of America’s largest cities that are each less than two hours away, and from around the world via nearby international airports.†Jennifer Lopez on Las Vegas Residency: ‘I’ve Been Preparing for This My Whole Life’ The bill would exempt artists from state taxes not only on their Atlantic City performance but also on shows at New Jersey venues including arenas in Camden, Trenton, Holmdel and Newark. Just who is an A-lister — and qualifies for the tax breaks — may require a delicate touch. New Jersey’s secretary of state would set qualifications for the benefit, taking into account music and ticket sales along with awards the performer has won. New Jersey Policy Perspective said the state should fully tax the entertainers and use the money for pressing statewide needs. “If Katy Perry, who made $135 million last year, played four times in Atlantic City and also did a two-week run of 10 shows at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, it would free her from paying state income taxes on any of the 14 concerts,†the group’s president Gordon MacInnes said. “Wealthy entertainers don’t pick concert venues for their tax rates; they go where they will find an audience. If entertainers want to ‘Do AC,’ New Jersey should tax them and use the revenue for important resources to actually build the state economy, like good schools and efficient transportation networks.†The bill will probably head next to the Senate budget committee. Britney sent her entire fan base racing to the A&E for irregular heart beats when she announced that she was in the studio with none other than Ellie Goulding’s producer HURTS and Michael Jackson’s Mischke: With the people confirmed for album 9 already, it seems like we are getting an ‘’Artsy Fartsy’’ album after all, and we could not be more excited!! Look at the perfection! Hold on to your weaves…. Serious snatching is on the way! PHEW!
