Hence why Britney needs to up her dancing and hire new people to bring in chero she loves to do because she lip-syncs 100% of it so the dancing needs to be on point and fierce..SOME of it is. It's like back in 2003 her dancing was fierce and yes people still shamed her for lip-syncing not as many people cared because she was an overall GREAT performer (she still is) but yea.. Dancing distracts peoples Idk i'ma mess Jocasta, slay me with one of your gifs.

Oh well. The microphone is mostly an accessory during the performances...

Right, but it's super embarrassing and unprofessional when she tries to talk and the mic is off - all it does is confirm that the show is entirely lip synced. Which again, we all knew, but c'mon... her team should be 100% on top of that shit.

Still don't see the point to feel disappointed. Britney was never supposed to sing live. For me it's just as bad as a wardrobe malfunction.

She was trying to introduce her dancers and band and they forgot to turn her mic on  :zoomzoom:

Basically telling the audience, "I haven't sang a single note live".. not that they needed confirmation tbh  :zoomzoom:

what are you talking about, she obviously turned it off by mistake while dancing her butt off in Crazy and belting out those notes and then remembered to turn it back soon just in time to finish the song :pieceofwhat:

I don't care that she lip syncs at all. It's been a hallmark of hers for as long as I've been a fan.. but it's part of an illusion, and when the mic is supposed to be on and she's clearly trying to speak but gets no sound, it's embarrassing and looks awful. It's not her fault, it's whoever's in charge of the mic.

For someone who defines lip-synching, Britney is bad at it tbh.

She needs to take notes from Janet, who has made lip syncing an art form.

tbh when vocals from 1999 start playing it kind of already breaks the illusion :pieceofwhat: she needs to pre-record EVERY song. and they don't have to be shit like the FF tour, just different.

Janet is the real queen of lip-synching, I agree, every vocal tick & breath inhale is perfectly mimed.  For example, for the longest time, I thought her Velvet Rope Tour was 100% sung live.  A few lines here and there were live, but she was heavily supported by good raw, vocal tracks.

I agree, prerecorded vocals is a practice Britney should have adopted for all her performances.  While on tour or not, tbh.  I will never understand why Larry went on record about how much vocal training she was undergoing for Vegas only from them to play her original studio enhanced recordings.   :umomg:

When I saw Janet during her Up Close & Personal tour a few years back, I was front row and she was sitting so close to the edge of the stage (on a stall) that I could actually hear her singing along to Nothing and her voice was all manly and hoarse :umomg: but of course these lovey soft vocals were coming out of the speakers. :nowaygif: and then all the reviews for that tour praised her "live" vocals.

Britney has given more live vocal performances than Janet, tbh, but supposedly she is singing the majority live on her Unbreakable tour.  She even had to take some time off for "vocal rest" which I don't think she's ever done.   :britTCA:
