Ok, so I heard Adele is releasing her new single and music video tomorrow, with an album release date for Nov. 20th..If she duplicates the success of her previous album, Britney is gonna have come big and strong now. PG and TD fizzled and though charts don't matter, Britney would not want to spend almost a year and half working on an album just to die out after a day or two..forget Taylor, this is the true test.

Adele is premiering her new single tonight at 11:30pm & releasing her video at midnight

Im gonna be honest "Hello" is really fucking good and beyond amazing and out does anything released by an artist for the past 4 years . Adele doesnt follow trends and comes up with her own stuff which is what keeps the public glued to her

After the whole BJ & PG mess u cant expect Britney to snatch everyone w/ B9 , if she wants to have a good charting shes gonna have to come harder than hard with this album and promote the shit out of it .. Britney is going the Urban/R&B route so shes gonna have to literally Bring it music quality wise, choreo wise, & sexy wise ..

So is b9 safe ? I dont think it will be , but its up to Britney to change that & Bring it this era

Hopefully Britney is focusing on an album that is great moreso than anything else.  She's achieved commercial success ample times already, now it's time for critical acclaim.  Her idol Janet Jackson is proof that releasing an album of quality -- after 3 underwhelming efforts and taking a 7 year hiatus --  will yield great results.  Adele & Taylor Swift are in their prime so anything & everything they release is seismic and will shoot up the charts.

Have u been on twitter ? The media & the GP are going crazy for her

Exactly! Adele is gonna dominate but again it comes down to a well crafted album..Britney is gonna have to forget the trends and start right off with something that is fresh and new...PG was a trend follower and while TD is a great start in the right direction, Fall Out Boy killed its chances of radio play. She has to come out strong this time

But what does Adele have to do with Britney?

2rxv3vt.jpg

One artists success has nothing to do with the other. It's a huge market, and Britney and Adele don't have a lot in common. Adele just got big during her last era, so this is obviously huge for her. She's going to have massive success, and she's talented (though also overrated) so she deserves it. As long as Britney puts out great music and stays looking happy and having fun, she has no one to compete with but herself.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. (Minus the Adele being overrated part but maybe I'm biased because I had a breakup during her last reign and I love love love skyfall) Britney is setting herself up for success if this album has a good selection of top 10 grade songs. She looks fantastic, she seems to be loosening up, and she is in the public eye a lot more than The Bertha Jane era. The only thing that will really hurt her next album is way to much vocal "help" or her shutting out the media. Just my opinion tho!

It depends on how good the album is to the public. :mhm:

Of course us being fans well buy whatever Britney puts out, but it's up to if its a good album, gets tons of promotion, and has good single choices and music videos :tbh:

Except you BJ strikers :trollney:

We all must keep in mind tho that charts don't matter, all it does is give more promo, but that's about it

It doesn't really matter. Look at how many other massive albums were out at the same time Britney released her most successful albums? She's probably going to time her release a little later than most fans seem to think. I don't think the album's coming out now or even in the next 6 months. Britney didn't reach success by being the only thing people were listening to (looking at Beyoncé), she has had success because her songs were good. That's all she needs, good songs.

Aw who would break up with you bby. Also Queen Jossy always makes flawless points though her gifs scare me.

How does Adele has anything to do with Britney tho, it's a complete different kind of music.. I mean yeah, she could block the #1 spot , but even without real competition i'm pretty sure Britney would have hard times to reach it anyway.

And being #1 isn't what really matters in the charts, it's stability that matters, who cares if she's not #1 , it's better to be in top 5 for weeks than reach #1 and then falling harder and faster than Titanic.

We don't have to worry about Adele, we have to worry about the quality Britney will deliver for her new music and the promotion that hopefully won't be non existent.

:pgstunna: Let's not, sis, because the critical acclaim says otherwise. Unbreakable is easily her most cohesive & introspective piece of work since '97. Ain't nobody here for more tired ass DJ Mustard beats, tbh.   :prettay:

The crtically acclaim doesnt really prove to me that the album is good .. I mean its the opinion of old critics but not from the ppl.. Sure her album did good but it was really horrible

Ur not here for "tired ass beats from DJ mustard" but everyone else is tbh ..(I saw that shade too fyi lol) but Im not even referring to DJ mustard Im just referring to the quality of music in general . Every artist is different and does there own thing .. If Britney came out with an album like Janets it will surely flop

sales for albums don't really matter anymore do they? as long as they don't make a loss.its more about an artist having a 360 deal with whatever   company. I don't see adele out there doing loads of shows, endorsements, underwear line and perfume.
