The crtically acclaim doesnt really prove to me that the album is good .. I mean its the opinion of old critics but not from the ppl.. Sure her album did good but it was really horrible

Ur not here for "tired ass beats from DJ mustard" but everyone else is tbh ..(I saw that shade too fyi lol) but Im not even referring to DJ mustard Im just referring to the quality of music in general . Every artist is different and does there own thing .. If Britney came out with an album like Janets it will surely flop

I wasn't referring to just "opinion of old critics" but fans in general too, the praise has been damn near universal for Janet's latest.  It's her first after a string of flop, trend-chasing, bop heavy albums that did nothing but hinder and damn near killed her career.  Now she's back with her strongest effort (sonically, vocally, & lyrically) in years, a very well received arena tour, and is in the running to be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.  Unbreakable completely resonated with the majority and reinvigorated her career, she went back to basics and made an album that is personal without having to say it is.  I beg to differ, sis, that Britney wouldn't benefit from a project that is basically what we were promised with for Britney Jean... and, yeah, the less said about that mistake the better, tbh.  Critical acclaim from both fans & critics should be the ultimate goal for B9, not coochie/bussy drop it down low songs.    :smokeney:

I mean thats all nice and lovely on Janets part but every artist is different , Britney is definitely gonna come out w/ coochie/bussy drop it down low songs next era and I cant wait ! But she is also going to have some nice ballads so theres a chance it can get critical acclaim

But what does Adele have to do with Britney?

One artists success has nothing to do with the other. It's a huge market, and Britney and Adele don't have a lot in common. Adele just got big during her last era, so this is obviously huge for her. She's going to have massive success, and she's talented (though also overrated) so she deserves it. As long as Britney puts out great music and stays looking happy and having fun, she has no one to compete with but herself.

MTE! People are acting like people can only buy either Adele OR Britney. It makes no sense, especially when Britney hasnt even announced an album! I for one, hope Adele does well. She deserves it!

Its really good , this woman has so much star power its crazy.. Shes actually bigger than Taylor

Shes sold over 400k in 1 day, she broke taylors vevo record w/ almost 30 million views in 1 day , she has 2 albums on the itunes US charts

"25" #1 & "21" #6 and on top of that she has a #1 single for "hello" all of this w/ no promo , not even a tweet

That doesn't prove the song is good :orangu: I mean it is good, but it's not great... it's more of the same :mhm:

we all wish that B9 will be @ #1

i don't care how long it stays on the charts... it's true that RANKING / POSITION matters. once it's #1 , it's #1!
who the hell cares how long it stays on the charts?
it's been a while that we had a #1 Britney album and single (2011)

It proves how many ppl like it

Yea but we all know just because something is mainstream/popular doesn't make it good. It's subjective you could like it and someone else could hate it. I'm coming to the conclusion that the whole debate in the music industry whether " This person is better than that person " blah blah it's just irrelevant because it's all subjective, it's all down to opinion. I for one am not a fan of " Hello " it just sounds like the same stuff she's done before but with a different kind of vibe but nothing exciting. It's popular because shes made a name for herself in the industry. People know she's going to come out with powerful ballads and that's pretty much it. Same with Britney in early 2000s people expected big, dance/pop songs, eccentric and energetic performances.

But "hello" sounds nothing like "Rolling In the deep" "someone like you" "rumor has it" or skyfall

Hello is actually a great song , not because it broke records lol
