Is Lipsync The Main Reason Why Britney Has Lost Most Support From The Gp?

It is a huge knock against her, tbh, and still frowned upon no matter how universally accepted the practice is for Britney.  Had she prerecorded her vocals for live performances and truly mastered the art of lip-synching (a la Janet Jackson) it would be no big deal.  One of the primary concerns in the press was whether or not she'd be singing live for these Vegas shows.  And well...  :britshade:   Britney didn't start her career as a brazen lip-syncher but she is synonymous with the word now.

No at this point in her career it's not a major factor. I have a friend who is not a fan of hers but said she would definitely go see her in Vegas knowing that she lipsyncs if she got the chance because we all literally grew up with her (we're all in our mid to late 20s). I don't think she's the only non Britney fan who feels that way either so at this point all she needs is to do something interesting and the GP will care more again. I think Britney fans on these boards go way too hard on her and her team about things that are not that big a deal. Yes she lips but she's been lipping her whole career including 90% of televised performances. Yes it would be great to hear her sing live but she's not the only one who lipsyncs (Beyoncé, Janet, Madonna, Mariah,Rihanna, Christina, both Justins, Demi, etc have all done it or continue to do it too and no one is raking them over the coals for it) it's not that big a deal these days.

She may not have lip synced every performance when she started, but she WAS known for it. Her major performances (including The Grammys, VMAs, etc.) were all lip synced. She was often called out for it in the press but no one really gave a fuck. Not her fans, anyway.

Granted but the excessive lip-synching didn't start until her BOMT tour launched because up until than she was regularly singing live, except for some major award shows (FTBOMBH was live @ The Grammy's) while her performances on the talk show circuits were all live. "Oh, well, she always lip-synched from the beginning" stance just isn't true.  It's a warped perception of how she started her music career that's not based in reality is all I'm saying.

She needs to take some classes on lip-syncing again...it's quite shocking how bad it is at times in POM. No tea no shade just being realistic...I mean It's Britney Spears... 5-part2-ru-paul-drag-race-545.gif?height

I've been a fan since 1998 when BOMT was released and while - like you said - she didn't ALWAYS lip sync, she was known for it even then. There were articles about it all the time, people talked about it, and it was mostly synonymous with her performances. So okay maybe for a short time she sang live a lot, but you're talking about 1999. During the prime of her career, she was lip syncing 99% of the time.

I actually agree. She's been slaying her performances but sometimes she's getting words wrong or just not really putting in effort to make the vocals look real. I don't care at all that she lips tbh, but some pre-recorded vocals would be nice. I've had several friends who are casual friends go to Vegas though and none of them complained about the lipping. A few said she did Perfume, Everytime and Lucky live  :trollney:

Britney is the best drag queen ever. :D

I don't think it's the dancing because during Circus era and FF era she danced way less than she does now and the GP still supported her. Honestly her fans and her trolls are the ones that are pushing her to dance more.

The problem is that BJ and PG was some of the worst music she's released. If you're not going to release good music, you're not going to get attention from people because they're not going to buy it.
