MakeMySugarFall Posted October 29, 2015 #3 Report Posted October 29, 2015 It really wasn't a flop though in terms of chart performance. Everyone just expects Brit to slay them charts every time. But nice sentiment by those girls. I haven't heard a damn thing by them, but slay that promo, Brit. 1
Dragneel Posted October 29, 2015 #5 Report Posted October 29, 2015 Was it the song of the year? Definitely no! However, most musicians have never seen more than one or two of their songs perform in charts like pretty girls did! It charted in over 20 countries and it was a top ten or twenty in almost 10 of them! 6

MakeMySugarFall Posted October 29, 2015 #9 Report Posted October 29, 2015 NO lies detected!...Britney has charted worse with better songs and vice versa Yep, according to Billboard's records, it charted higher than Radar, Shattered Glass, Break The Ice, Outrageous, Me Against The Music, and Overprotected - and only slightly below Lucky (#23) and I'm A Slave 4 U (#27). 1
Ms.Spearson Posted October 29, 2015 #10 Report Posted October 29, 2015 yeah it didn't flop that much. considering it's been used by Scream Queens for TV ad promo

AudioBritneyBeats Posted October 29, 2015 #14 Report Posted October 29, 2015 Yep, according to Billboard's records, it charted higher than Radar, Shattered Glass, Break The Ice, Outrageous, Me Against The Music, and Overprotected - and only slightly below Lucky (#23) and I'm A Slave 4 U (#27). Yeah, but keep in mind, those songs from the Britney Era, to the beginning of the ITZ era, performed terribly because of her radio ban at the time. If those songs had been given radio support...Lucky & Slave, along with Overprotected, would have been Top 20 hits.
MakeMySugarFall Posted October 29, 2015 #15 Report Posted October 29, 2015 Yeah, but keep in mind, those songs from the Britney Era, to the beginning of the ITZ era, performed terribly because of her radio ban at the time. If those songs had been given radio support...Lucky & Slave, along with Overprotected, would have been Top 20 hits. Fair, but it still outperformed quite a few of her other singles that were considered "fan favorites." Pretty Girls didn't do *that* terrible on the charts, besides having no real staying power in the U.S. Also, I'm not convinced Slave would have done much better than it did. Sales weren't that great for it and it didn't chart well in other countries. And for the record - I think that song is godawful, but we can and should bash it on facts.
Mannequiney Posted October 29, 2015 #16 Report Posted October 29, 2015 I love their song Worth It, it's really great!
PopMusicJunkie Posted October 29, 2015 #17 Report Posted October 29, 2015 "Pretty Girls" was a moderate hit and has a Vevo certified music video, so they're right. The song remains a fun bop and she vocally sounds like she's having fun, which was largely missing from her last album. :prettay: I love their song Worth It, it's really great!
Jojo93220 Posted October 30, 2015 #18 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Was it the song of the year? Definitely no!
