Isn't it true? I mean, you all(or at least in Exhell/exfail used to say) that it isn't her most personal album so far, she didn't co-write the songs and etc. but seriosly, let's take a look of the songs and you will see that they are a piece of Britney's life. ;) ;D

Let's start with her coloboration with Will, even though the song isn't from BJ it is still personal, you know :yakno: :
Scream and Shout - she had so many things on her head back then, the X-factor, her break-up with Jason, so she actually wanted to let her energy and stress into this song by dancing and stuff. "I wanna scream and shout and let it all out."

Britney Jean:

1. Alien - a song that describes how was she feeling back in the dark period of her life, a.k.a 2007ney, and that the light in our eyes reminded her that she's not alone. "Lost in the world out of me, myself and I." :notimpressed:

2. Work Bitch - a song that says that Britney worked/still working really hard to get the life she has now, so ... "You better work bitch!" :britney-badass:

3. Perfume - a song dedicated to Jason that actually gives us speculations that he probably cheated on her "Sometimes it feels like there’s three of us in here, baby."

4. It should be easy feat Will - a song describing how should LOVE be, how Britney wants it for herself, you know "It should be eaaaaasy, it shouldn't be complicated."

5. Tik Tik Boom feat. T.I - Britney mentioned in IABJ that she loves sex, well, the song is about sex, so.. "Not too slow, not too quick." :tomh:

6. Body Ache - Britney's been an enternainer, singer and dancer for over a decade, so this song is about her passion - DANCING. "I wanna dance till my body ache, a little bit longer." :xf9:

7. Til it's gone - this song could be read in 2 ways: again her break-up with Jason or her past love Justin Timberlake[or my teory - having her freedom when she was younger, not being controlled, etc.] "You never know what you got til it's gone."

8. Passenger - this song describes how she feels about David. She's giving him a chance to take the will, to take her on an adventure, so she can just enjoys the riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.

9. Chillin' with you feat. Jamie Lynn - a song describing how she feels about her sister, their relationship and yeah... "When I'm with you, I'm chillin, I'm chillin." :lollipop:

10.  Don't cry - another break-up song, probably about Jason.. "This is gonna be our last goodbye
Our love is gone, but I'll survive."

11. Brightest Morning Star - this song is either for her sons or God - your choice. "You are the light of my beautiful life."

12. Hold on Tite Tight - a ballad, describing her feelings to David[ or another speculation is another song about God] "I just wanna fall into his arms tonight."

13. Not that I found you - a dance track, [again] describing how she feel about David or her kids. "And I don't know how you saved my life"

Conclusion: Briney Jean is an amazing album. Get over the hate and enjoy the masterpiece. :britney-truepepsi:

Hope you liked this thread, xoxo! :toxicwink:

I agree, but listening to the album at least two times a day... in my opinion only alien, perfume, passenger, dont cry and brightest morning star are really the personal ones... oh and chillin' wichu! I mean Jamie Lynn is there...  :orlynow:

Imo only Body Ache and Tik tik Boom aren't personal.

And there is already a BJ personal thread (I guess a few of them :P) I'm going to post my reply from that here ;)

I was going to bring my reply from the other site here as a thread but I'll post it here  :yesplz:

In many ways Britney Jean is a mental and spiritual album. We are inside her mental themes and get a taste of her self enlightenment stage. As an album there are signs it was rushed which can be ok if we aren't talking about looking inside Britney's mind and trying to get good songs out what is kind of a recovery notebook.

Any way my view of the songs as I've been listening to Britney Jean today....

Alien: Looking back on a time that she felt lost and lonely and, in a positive way, thanking the people who helped her through that time.

Perfume is about Britney and her guy being distant from one another and Brit wondering if her guy regrets being with her and would rather not be with her. it's not a song to joke about. I do think Sia's original version of the song was from the point of view of the other woman but Britney's take is about worrying and trying to find a way to keep her Boyfriend as she worries it's slipping away. She doesn't even know what's going on. There seems to be a lack of communication going on. Britney's inside her head imaging her guy wants someone else because he's talking to that girl & not to Britney. So Brit over thinks and goes tryhard to keep him...

It should be Easy: Have people really listened to the lyrics to this song? It's about this girl who is in worry mode. She loves her guys and while he makes her feel wonderful, she worries and needs reassurance and there is even a threat of other guys out there. The girl can't help but worry her relationship into trouble. The Guy thinks the girl needs to relax and allow love to be if it's to be. it feels like it's the same girl and Guy from Perfume.

Don't Cry: I'm putting this song here because I think it's the close of this relationship

"In the beginning

We were both crazy
We were crazy in love
Now that it's ending
We are just crazy
Because we loved with no trust
Can't go on any longer
Babe we gotta let it go
Move on, can't hold on
When love is broken"

Hold on Tight: Has our girl in a bad place, looking back on a time that often felt wonderful then and feels so in remembrance but wasn't good for her. Whatever the reason. It's long over and she has to take care of herself now. The song feels intimate as I listen to it. And there is a touch of sadness.

Passenger: is about a girl who knows she has to try and let this new relationship rise or fall on it's own merits. She can't be too try hard as she has been in the past. Relax and trust.

Chillin' with you: Another relax and trust song. This one living in the moment

Brightest Morning Star: Is a song about God but it's actually another thank you for the support song

Now that I found you: Is another song looking back on bad times and being thankful for finding someone who has helped her through.

Tik Tik Boom: is the Sex song. I figure that Britney worked on this song when she was thinking of taking the Album more urban. it's probably one of the only ones she finished.

Body Ache: Is actually a sexual innuendo song and might fit thematically before TTB but I like having the song Body ache and Work Bitch next to each other.

Work Bitch: Britney was coming off Xfactor and Work Bitch is a tongue in cheek advice to wannabe popstars. There is also an element of recall here as well since for the real power of the lyrics to hit you, you have to know Britney's been there, done that and is still there doing that. She knows what she's talking about. I don't care what anyone says I know this is where their mind was as they worked on this song. She's kind of readying a passing of the torch.

Til it's gone: Is a more general end of a relationship song. Something is over and it's changed her forever. It's actually another song looking back on a time in the past. She's sad as she remembers what this relationship gave her. She's trying to move on but it's difficult cause we often don't really appreciate something until it's gone. I like putting it here after Work Bitch because it's how I think the fans will feel once Britney has truly passed the torch.

In many ways every song Britney records is personal since she's a vibe artist. We get so much from even the songs she chooses because she enjoyed them or was excited to work with the producer. I believe Britney Jean is the first album where she set down with song writers or worked on song lyrics where ever to create songs that are personal. (At least since Britney. Though a lot of that was actually for Lucy but Lucy and Britney were a lot a like). I know you guys don't get the merits of that but she was choosing and creating songs because they were personal for the first time in a long time. Other times she writes songs because they just happened or because she wanted to impress as an artist. Other times someone created a biographical song that moved her enough to record.

This was a different process for her. Rather it was successful really will be determined on what she took from the process on to the next. She's always trying new things and making different albums.

I think the songs with the exception of Body Ache and Tik Tik Boom do have personal meaning to HER. I honestly think some fans were disappointed cuz they were expecting her to be some mind reader and do songs that reflect their life OR instead of taking the album for what it is, they compare it to her past work and esp. compare it to them unreleased songs and that just sets you up for disappointment.

You need to go in with an open mind and ZERO pre-conceived notions. At the end of the day, it's HER album, it's gonna reflect her feelings and life and call me crazy but weren't an awful lot of fans saying they wanted something different from her, well she gave it, it's not her fault if certain fans don't like it, she stepped out of her box with this album!!! Just cuz it doesn't add up to some fans insane level of expectations doesn't automatically mean it's a shit album. It's a really good album.

Yeah, we wanted something different and we got it. Britney Jean is such a different album, compared to her past 2-3. It is beautiful and yeah, I agree with you. :)
