Happy 2nd anniversary to Britney Spears 8th studio album, "Britney Jean". The album was released on December 3rd, 2013 and today marks its 2nd anniversary. Britney described this album as the most personal album she has ever recorded. Brit co-wrote each track and collaborated with songwriters and producers including Sia Furler and will.i.am.  The record features guest vocals from Britney's sister Jamie Lynn, T.I., and will.i.am.

sex is great 1

The record debuted at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200. The same happened in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at number 34; worldwide, only reaching the top 20 and top 30 in most countries.

Happy anniversary to "Britney Jean"! What was your favorite song off the album?!?!

Huge shoutout to our flawless Britney Army member Robbie Csernyik for making the Britney Jean collage!

I love how this album gets so much shade! besides the few will.I.Am Tracks this is def one of my favorite Records from Britney Vocally.

Favorite track  - Hold On Tight.  ( Just because it didnt sells millions doesn't mean it was not good ) It was and is a good record. :tea2:

The hate Britney Jean gets makes me really angry. It wasn't as bad as "fans" make it out to be. I still listen to this album in a regular basis and actually prefer it to overrated albums like blackout. Hold on tight, don't cry, now that I found you, brightest morning star, perfume, til it's gone, alien - are all amazing songs

That's the problem right there, tho, she didn't record a large portion of it nor is it close to being personal.

I didnt think so either until I just had my 2 year break up...I found myself relating to Britney Jean A lot and I actually got it .  A lot of the vocals are Britney ...people keep saying the other bitch but who was there to see this? Receipts?? Please show receipts.

And yes this is one of her best Vocally .

Fair enough, not going to even dispute how you relate to the material, it's all subjective.

However the subjects she touches on -- sex, love, breakups, fame, etc -- are things she has done much better on previous albums.  She didn't explore anything new sonically or lyrically, except her faith.  There's some decent material but ultimately it's a demo album.   Receipts?  Your own ears for one.  There's a clear discrepancy with how little Britney actually sings versus Myah Marie.  She did a lot more than backgrounds on Britney Jean, I'm not even mad at MM because she did her job and fooled many.  Including long time (?) fans here.    :sorrynotsorry:

I disagree with you when it comes to vocals but yes I can agree the album really helped me get through hard times and the songs are very well written and emotional! Don't Cry actually made me cry!
