People who think she was "crazy" or/and in drugs at that time are fucking blind. IMHO, she used the wig to escape from her persona because she was fucking tired of being "Britney Spears: The Pop star/celebrity". With this I'm not saying it was an "alter ego", it was more like a "costume" to disconnect from reality. At least is how I see it.
