Would Mannequin Have Flopped As The Lead Circus Single?

I think Womanizer was a great hit and I wouldnt change that lead single, I loved it so much back then! Mannequin I never loved, it doesnt sound like her and it's so difficult to understand what she's singing.

Yes Slayaquin is the best song of the album and one of her best

It should have been a single and she should perform it at VMA with that awesome choreo from the video

 

If she did that rehearsal choreo in a VMA performance all of our pussies would have been ripped from their caves tbh    

no one would have survived that slayage, especially the careers of Gagaz, XTincta, Bleachthiefce, etc.

I love Mannequin and had she performed the legendary choreo from her studio rehearsal in the Music Video, then I probably would have said make it a single now!!!! But if I'm being honest I don't think it is better than the singles that were chosen and I probably would have picked Shattered Glass or Amnesia as a 5th single before Mannequin..

Nah that would not have worked as a single, either as a lead, 3rd, 4th whatever. It's too experimental and the vocals would had to be cleaned up a bit to make it audible. To this day I don't have all the lyrics down.

Now that's not to say it's a bad song. It's flawless on the album, I love the beat and vibe of the song. I've always seen it as Oops part 2 and I think its a slight diss to JT so its great.

IMO the only other song that wasn't a single on the album that could have been a lead single would have been "Shattered Glass" but only if they extended the song a bit, its over too soon. But honestly Womanizer makes perfect sense as the lead. Of all her albums, Circus is the one where I'm most satisfied with the releases. The approach was to softly ease her back into the spotlight and with that in mind the single choices make sense.

I think Mannequin could have been a great single. Womanizer, Circus and If you seek amy were perfect as single but they should have used Mannequin for the promotion as well
