It's that time to feature our December #BritneyArmy members that have always showed their love, support to Britney Spears and of course to Britney-Galaxy as well! In case you didn't hear the news,  Britney-Galaxy is now starting to feature 3 lucky Britney Army members each month on our Mainpage! In order to be selected you must be following all our social media accounts (see links below) OR be a member on universe.

Now let's start with our first flawless fan, Alycia Harlow:

1) When did you become a Britney Spears fan?

I first became a Britney Spears fan in December of 1998. At that point I was 14 years old, and I remember hearing her song "...Baby One More Time" on the radio a lot. It was so catchy, and I just thought she was incredibly pretty. I definitely had a little bit (okay, maybe a lot) of jealous towards her at first, but I realized pretty quickly that a lot of that jealousy was because I admired her so much. That's when my 17 year girl crush began.

2) What is your favorite song?

Picking a favorite Britney song feels like an unbelievably impossible task for me. So many of her songs mean different things to me, and they represent different important moments in my life (both good and bad). "From The Bottom of my Broken Heart" reminds me of my first serious boyfriend. "Everytime got me through my first major heartbreak." "Out From Under" represents a period in my life when I was suffering severely from depression. Then of course songs like "What U See (Is What U Get)," "Overprotected," and "Brave New Girl" represent periods in my life when I was really trying to discover who I was and what it was I wanted out of my life. Then of course she has so many empowering, upbeat songs that I love too. I can't sit still when I listen to Blackout or Femme Fatale. That's why I love her music so much. There's something for everyone. Her emotional songs truly speak to my heart (I'm not the only one who cried listening to Alien the first time am I?), and her dance songs are so sick .. I think I caught the flu.

3) Why are you a Britney Spears fan?

I originally became a Britney fan because of her music and because I found her really intriguing to watch. As time has gone on, however, my reasons for being a fan have evolved and become much more complex. As her career took off, I loved seeing her interviews and watching her T.V. specials. She was always so sweet and goofy, and I felt like I could just relate to her so easily. Then as she grew up, so did I. Even though she has no idea who I am, I feel like I experienced my growing pains with her. I related to her struggles with heartbreak and with her trying to come into her own as an adult. I admired everything about her. I see her strength. I see her kind heart. I see her goofy sense of humor. I see how much she loves. I just think she's an utterly beautiful person both inside and out, and I admire everything that she has overcome. I know I am a better person because of Britney and because of her music.

4) Has Britney Spears ever helped you with a struggle or anything in life?

I have had anxiety and depression for nearly my entire life. It's unfortunate that I wasn't diagnosed until my late teenage years, but when I was a kid, mental health awareness was not a thing like it is today. During my mid 20's, I experienced the absolute worst bout of depression of my life. I had given up on myself and had fallen into a dark place where I didn't care if I lived or died. Very little mattered to me anymore, and it felt like I was never going to find my way back to a place where anything could ever matter again. During this time, I very rarely left the house. I shut myself off from the world because I felt like no one understood me. The only time I ever felt relief was when I would get in my car and just drive. Late at night I would drive for hours with Britney music just blasting. It felt like the only time I was at peace. It was around this time that For The Record came out and so much of what Britney said, I could relate to. Her just speaking out and sharing with her fans helped me to feel so much less alone. Shortly after, I finally got into therapy and it changed my life forever!

5) Has Britney spears taught you anything that helps you in life?

Britney has taught me the importance of self love. I was born with a birth defect called left ear microtia and it was one of my biggest insecurities growing up. Essentially, my outer left ear never fully formed and I am incredibly hard of hearing. Due to the fact that I spent so many years of my life feeling insecure, inadequate, and unhappy with myself, a lot of my self worth and happiness became dependent upon my relationships with others. If a relationship fell apart, so did I. Now I have finally begun to love myself .. flaws and all. It's been really hard, but I think one of the most important things you can do is love yourself for exactly who you are and for all the mistaskes you've made. If there are things about myself I am not happy with, I no longer beat myself up or berate myself ... I simply realize that there's always room to improve and to grow, and then I work on it. It's good to be kind to yourself.

6) What is your favorite Britney Tour?

My favorite Britney Tour is probably Dream Within A Dream Tour! The way I felt seeing her perform that show live was absolutely awe-inspiring. I still get goosebumps when I think about it.

7) What is your favorite Britney photo shoot?

The Elle shoot from October, 2000. She looked absolutely radiant .. and I loved that they captured part of her fun side as well. I know she has done so many amazing photo shoots, but something about that one has just stuck with me over the years. I just never got over how beautiful she looked.

8) Have you ever met Britney?

I have never met Britney, but I plan on meeting her in 2016. I don't know exactly when yet, but I'm already very nervous just thinking about it.

10) Name one thing that pops into your head when you hear Britney Spears name

"Living legend, you can look but don't touch."

11) What makes you a Britney army fan?

I am a Britney Army fan because I am fan of Britney Spears the person and of Britney Spears the performer. I love all that she has accomplished both on the stage and off. I love seeing Britney do what she does best .. and that's just be herself. I love seeing her have control of her creativity and her work because when she does, she truly shines. Her instincts are phenomenal and she is incredibly talented. I love her so very much. I will support Britney in anything that she chooses to do because she knows what is right for her, and as long as she's happy .. I'm happy!

12) Have you ever done or started anything for Britney in her honor?

Of course I love collecting her stuff and celebrating her birthday and things like that in her honor, but a few years ago I really decided to take on a whole new journey in my life because of her.

As I mentioned, in my mid 20's I sufferd severely from depression. During this time I did not take care of myself at all. I ended up gaining a lot of weight and became even more unhappy with myself because I no longer recognized the reflection in the mirror. I was horrified by who I had become. By my late 20's, I had been in therapy for a few years and I wass back on a much healthier path mentally, but physically I was still not healthy. I would try to lose the weight by going on extreme diets or doing extreme exercise routines, and after a few months I would lose some of the weight only to gain it back a little while later.

Well, a year and a half ago, I got really fed up of this cycle. I was fed up of how I looked. Of how clothes felt when I put them on. Of how every time I looked in the miror, I had really nasty and negative thoughts about myself. I was fed up of everything. That's when I created Fit Like Britney.

One thing I've always admired about Britney is her dedication to fitness. She has always had an incredibly healthy body (in my opinion), and I've always admired her dedication to staying fit. She seems to have a really healthy balance of exercising and also enjoying the food she loves. That is what I wanted for myself, and so she became my biggest source of inspiration (like she wasn't already). I also decided that I would reward my efforts by meeting Britney in Vegas if I reached my goals. Since then, I've fallen in love with fitness. In fact, it has become my favorite way to manage my depression and my anxiety. I haven't completely reached my goals, but I'm learning to become patient and to embrace this journey that I'm on. I have come such a long way, and I'm proud of what I have accomplished. I can't wait to share it all with Britney when I meet her. I want to show her my progress so far when I meet her in 2016, and then I hope to go back in 2017 to meet her again when I'm even further along. I hope she'll be proud of me! It already means the world to me that she sent me a card to compliment me on my hard work.

I really would love to start a Fit Like Britney movement. I believe in the power of exercise and eating well when it comes to both mental health and our physical health. If anyone is looking for support or motivation, please feel free to join me in my Facebook group!

13) Have you been to her vegas show?

I just went last month on November 11, and I thought it was utterly amazing! I absolutely love how the show comes full circle at the end, and I was surprised to see how it touches on so many different themes. Britney's energy was incredible and I had the time of my life meeting so many fellow fans who love Britney the same way that I do.

14) If Britney spears was reading this right now what would you want her to know?

I'd want her to know that she's beautiful, and wonderful, and inspiring ... and that because of her, the world is a better place. Keep shining, Britney. I love you, girl.

Thank's Alycia for the AWESOME interview and always keep inspiring everyone! We appreciate all the love and support you have shown to Britney-Galaxy as well.
