This silence is seriously killing me, I thought we would be getting a new song early this year, but I feel like we're not... I don't think so, maybe they are going to wait after the hype from revamped show and then surprise us with the new single. But who knows, her team is really weird with this kind of stuff.

We got albums from Gaga, Christina, Rihanna, Katy, maybe Beyonce as well as the up and comers who we don't know yet. My point is that all these performer's team's want success for them which means that they'll probably be some strategic planning in terms of when their songs drop and when they initiate promotion for the albums.

My guess is that she's going to drop it in February but if she doesn't then it will come around the time of the next hiatus in the show. Just to give her the best chance of success she's probably aiming to not drop her single first before the rest (because the others will probably follow her and take some of the media attention away).

Yeah but unless Beyonce announces her release date (and after her last album I doubt she will) it will be hard for Britney's team to predict that. I think, unless Gaga, Katy and Christina are aiming for q4 16 Britney should wait until after at least two of them drop the singles. So let's assume Katy and Gaga drop something in March and April, Brit should wait until May or June.

And the only reason I say she should wait is because work bitch was released and then like a week or two later Katy and Gaga dropped Roar and Applause. The hype of both killed the momentum of wB and with WB they were going for a grower type of first single it seems but it didn't grow like they wanted, they moved on to Perfume and that stalled so they stopped promo and releases for BJ. I definitely feel like if Britney had dropped Wb after then the hype around the song and video would have lasted longer, it is her most experimental first single after all.

But we'll see what she does this time.

I definitely have a feeling we will tbh, Remember when she went to hawaii to get her tan on for the Pg video? Well this time she has no time to tan since shes busy revamping. So hopefully that spray tan she got is for an upcoming video shoot, not getting my hopes up tho but I do feel that we will have a single coming. I hope it's with the new show because I think that would make sense but her team rarely does what makes sense.. 

 

Knowing her team, the new show will start with no new single but it will finally include "Overprotected" like everyones been stanning for.. and then the new single will come out in April or May and they will promptly take "Overprotected" out of the show to be replace by the new single and then the BArmy will have meltdowns for months about it!

I really never understood why britneys single wasnt a success. The cd wasn't her best but i loved work bitch. Katy and gaga had released really bland music. Was it because britney didnt promote?

When the new show begins, yes. There's no point to revamp a show without a new single but adding it like 2 months later.

Plus, Britney always said she likes to perform new material so there will be obviously a new song at least, and she will need new material to promote her show anyway.
