Can someone explain to me why the production of Circus is soooo amaze:balls compared to POM?

The opening number alone has acrobats, tricks, special effects, smoke and about 10x the people onstage of any POM performance.

And for the rest of the show, we have a magic show, a moving cage, about 30 people on bicycles, an elevating stage, a cirque d soleil-ish stunt, etc. The biggest investment I see for POM is the tree they built.

I think what they would've left to special effects on Circus, they instead gave to Britney and her dancers, though. So POM is good because I honestly feel it pushed Britney more.

Yes and I find even that concept kinda basic. I feel like the show doesn't have like an overarching theme like Circus or even FF. It doesn't even feel like a greatest hits show because the references to her career are pretty shallow and don't scream Britney that much.

I like that it brought us some of the best Britney dancing post breakdown though. Even BOMT/OIDIA or Boys has more choreo for her than 3/4 of Circus Tour.

Thats the main reason I prefer it over Circus tbh. Circus had an amazing production, costumes, stage layout etc and tbh she looked damn good. But despite all the things you said about POM (which i agree with) I love seeing Britney dance again, and the dancing is one of the main reasons the circus era was as bittersweet for me as it was. Ultimately Id choose the dancing over the production.

I say TCTSBS is better than POM. Sure, Piece Of Me may have more choreography but their is far more passion and fire in Britney during the Circus tour without a doubt. I also prefer the production, set list and tour outfits of Circus

Have you seen a lot of the recent POM videos though? I can tell a HUGE difference recently.

A lot of these more recent POM videos have me like  :excited:

i think the theme of the show being a circus really helps..

theres so much you can do for a show thats based off a circus, theres even a lot of props in circus in POM

The Circus Starring - it was the piece on art on the scene tbh. I I love Piece Of Me show too, but Circus is million times better. Circus had better theme, the costumes and performances were amazing + most of the songs were from Circus, Blackout and In The Zone, which are my favorite albums. so yeah, I'd go with TCS.

That's more of a min point to me, considering it takes the focus off of Brit :yaknow::paper:

Even though at the time of Circus Tour I specifically did not buy a ticket because I was pissed that she barely danced…in retrospect I think it really was an incredible spectacle that I kind of prefer over Piece Of Me. The costumes were epic, the set list was incredible, it gave us that Slave remix and POM performance, Get Naked got its due appreciation, her energy and facial expressions were dynamic, she said those amazingly weird ad libs (from "pussy hanging out" to "don't smoke weed"), and she has NEVER looked more gorgeous in her entire career. Circusney is a total Glamazon.

POM obviously has some incredible moments - Me Against The Music, Do Somethin' and Gimme More/BTI taking the cake. But the rest of the show isn't nearly as strong or consistent as those gems, so currently the pros are outweighed by the cons.

So I choose The Circus Starring: Britney Spears.
