so this week on twitter ive seen a few gaga stans i follow talk about how bad romance is so iconic and 'impactful'. then there was this whole argument about how they think its more iconic than toxic :orangu: and that its the most iconic song and music video by a female this decade :lmaolol:  :lmaolol:

then after they were done discrediting godney and pretending shes some irrelevant flop, the beyHIV+ went on about how single ladies is more iconic than both combined :gloria:

delusion aside :smokeney:

bad romance and single ladies both came out in the internet age since they wanna use youtube views as some kind of receipt. obviously toxic is behind on the views but the impact and legacy it has is more than both and they will deal :queenflopga:

just wanted to share some jokes :gloria:

its sad to see that a lot of them actually think and believe this :pieceofwhat:

They both sold more than 'Toxic' but i'll say toxic is more iconic it's like one of the most recognizable songs of all time, everyone knows toxic honestly rach6.gif

its constantly referenced to this day, everyone knows the lyrics, people dress up as the characters in the music video for halloween, i could go on forever about why theyre all wrong :smokeney:

:frenchy: Lying to themselves I see.

I once asked people at my school what are the songs you know by these artists: Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Beyonce and you know what they said: Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (said no one) they said Just Dance, and stuff like that, then Beyonce: Single Ladies came up, but not as the first choice, and then Britney Spears: Toxic was the first answer then they said: and you know other songs :gloria: but still Toxic was the first thing said while the others were second choices to none :overitkbye: so tell me again who's song is more impactful?

Bad Romance and Single Ladies were huge and saying otherwise is being delusional.

I still think Toxic was bigger and it's still played on the radio even after a decade of its release, her looks in the music video are incredibly famous and have inspired both Gaga and Beyonce (diamond outfit) and well.. It's a better song IMO :toxicwink:

The 3- hit piano intro of baby one more time is more iconic than Gaga's and Beyoncè's careers combined

Also Britney has many songs that are considered iconic (bomt, crazy, oops, slave, toxic, gimme more, piece of me, womanizer, s&s)

Beyoncé hardly has 2(crazy in love, single ladies)

Gaga has 3/4 (just dance, poker face, bad romance, alejandro?)

So Britney is by far the most iconic of the 3

No one gives a shit about Bad Romance or any of Gaga's older songs tho, except for her delusional stans. They might have been successful when released, but her music quickly fades into obscurity because it's simply not that great. Easily forgettable and hardly influential in any way. The only thing Gaga has influenced is a bunch of lazy narcissistic assholes to dress and act like retards in order to get attention instead of using their actual talent.

A lot of Britney's music put a big stamp on pop culture and is frequently referenced by not just us stans but the GP as well. Even the haters can't help themselves. Gaga's hasn't. I've never, ever heard anyone speak about Gaga or her music outside of what she is doing RIGHT NOW. Fact is Gaga can't put her stamp on pop culture because her whole shtick is literally just throwing together a bunch of pop culture references and ripping people off. It's all been done.

I can't @ some of you denying the fact that Gaga has had any impact on the pop music scene. Now you guys sound just as delusional as the little monsters.

Both Gaga and Britney have influenced pop music greatly. Bad Romance has a big impact. I remember the song was played a lot and a lot of people talked about its "odd" music video. However, Gaga's looks in the video aren't necessarily all the iconic. It's a cool video, but that's all it has going for it. Britney has recognizable consumes in all of her videos, ESPECIALLY Toxic. So in that sense I would say Toxic had more of a pop culture impact.

But lbr, Gaga had a lot of influence at least in The Fame/Born This Way portion of her career. Let's not be delusional and deny that.
