I love britney and think she still has the starpower to garner attention from the public. That being said, her team is horrible and she doesn't seem to want to do so much promotion but who knows. Hopefully we have a good era with a good set of songs if anything :D

At this point in Britney's life I am very happy that she seems to be personally happy, healthy and doing well. In regards to her career, this next album is crucial. It could flop. But even if it flops, as long as it has music that delivers and is up to par with Britneys standard, I don't think it will be shunned like Britney Jean was. Britney Jeans problem was that it was a rushed mess that clearly wasn't ready yet to be released. It literally had somebody else singing on some of the songs. it was just ridiculous . I do have a very good feeling about B9 though and I'm not worried but I do hope I'm right. I think that if Britney didn't really care anymore we would've already gotten an EP or an album already with meaningless music. I really do believe she's taking her time to create something very special and time will tell .

Meh. As long as we get new (and flawless) music that's all that matters!  :idontlike:

We should've known this by now that Britney is not going to do what the other acts are doing to get more chart/single success.

She's just doing this because she loves making music. And the new materials will keep the POM fresh too. So yeah.

So if those who get super disappointed because she's not performing well in sales etc. then tough for you lol  :nonotatall:

C'mon y'all, no one is really being negative here (well, maybe one member but oh well, what can we do)  :frenchy:

We're just saying that we can't expect her to top the charts and slay, but we can expect her to put out good music and be passionate in Vegas and all those things that are realistic, and that is totally fine because we, as fans, shouldn't expect Britney to be the hotest act in pop music at this point, so we should just focus on her personal achievements and support her without overthinking whether she's done better than Bey or Gaga. I don't know if I explained myself :aintevenmad:

Yet more shady bitches. I'm so sick of this fucking shitty place :entertainme: full with random brainless sluts, throwing nothing but negativity.

Shut up honestly. You're delusional as fuck if you can't face what i said. There's a lot of competition Britney will surely do her thing, keep discreet and stay in vegas. How is that being negative? It's being realist.

haters? This fandom is so sensitive and defensive. So we can't say nothing plausible that could happen in her career without being called an hater?

If you wanna think that Britney is going to dominate 2016 and kick asses then go ahead with your delusion tbh.

I'm not saying she'll dominate 2016 at all, i'm saying that you guys sounds really mean saying things like "her career is ended", "she can't be good commercally anymore" and stuff like that. I think good part of this fandom is really ungreatful to the things that she do, u can see that she's doing her best to the next era to be good. :mahhaw: I really think you guys should not create expectations (good or bad) about the next era/album, let her surprise us, give her a chance.   :imout:

Sis it's just that we lost faith in her. After so many disappointments since post-FF era and broken promises it's just hard to believe in her. The GP basically forget about her and don't even know she exists, she is stuck at Vegas for two more years and she hasn't done anything good for her career since releasing I Wanna Go as a single.

I am sorry but it's hard to be optimistic will all that Wy3RYbW.png

I didn't say it that way. Ofc,Britney can be successful commercially again IF SHE WANTS TO she can easily do that.

But right now she's focusing on vegas and B9 is surely a way to promote her residency lbr.

So i doubt that B9 will sell a lot if she doesn't care...

Feel however you want and need to feel, but I just think it does a huge disservice to Britney and to us as a fanbase to predict that whatever's coming won't do well. I mean, how can we be delusional about something that hasn't happened yet? We don't know if the terms of the Vegas contract were renegotiated for the extension, especially with the decreased amount of shows. We've seen the performances in Vegas this past year and it's obvious homegirl is loving and living on that stage. She seems very much in her element lately. I feel confident from what we've heard so far about the recording process for B9 that we're going to get something special from Brit.

But, again, who knows? I'm not delusional by any means (I've been through all the ups and downs since 1998 just like most of you), but I choose to remain optimistic and positive for the future because that just seems like a better use of my time and energy.

Let's just wait and see what happens before judging. Let Britney live.

Great. Said what I was thinking. Though, most of these cynical bitches haven't been fans since the beginning. I think if you have been a fan since the 90's, you have a better understanding of Britney as a person (or persona, since we don't "know" her) and artist.

If you've been a fan of someone for a decade and a half, you're gonna always look forward to anything they put out, and you're gonna hope for the best. I don't think any of us are delusional enough to think we'll ever seen Britneymania like we did 1999-2002.

But, honestly? You never know. Why not hope for the best.

And I also don't understand why people get on fans for being unrealistic and stanning in a FAN. FORUM. This is a space where we can nerd out, right? We can have "serious" discussions (how serious can a discussion about a pop star be, really??) but why can't we sometimes daydream with our fellow fans? (I'm not talking about the people who build her way up and then attack her when she doesn't live up to realistic expectations. But, like I said, I have a hard time believing anyone who has been a fan from the beginning would do this; they would have given up a long time ago.)

IDK The upshot to me is, why so serious? This is a fan forum for a pop star. Like...not real serious business, so chillax with your cynical bullshit, y'all.

The whole point of this thread is to say that there's a lot of competition so Britney will have to reinvent herself to be memorable this year.

We don't need to wait for B9 to know that Britney will not dominate the charts sweetie lbr...

hmmm bj era was shaping to be one of her best since circus, and we all know how that ended

I actually agree w/ this, some Britneys fans actually think she will dominate but in reality she wont especially coming back from a flop era. So seeing fans shading other artists saying Britney will dominate is kinda cringe worthy tbh. I honestly dont care whether its a flop or not, we just need some bops tbh & thats all I care for.

I do however disagree when some yall keep comparing B9 to Vegas just because of what happened with BJ. Keep in mind that Britney released an album around the same time as when Vegas started (B8 Dec 3, Vegas Dec 27) When it comes to concerts ..etc artists promote that even harder and thats what Britney did. B9 will be different, her album aint gonna come out till spring or summer & her Vegas show is already on going, theres no need for promotion, everyone already knows thats where she resides.
