YAY you posted your list!!  So to defend my choices that you disagree with and deliver on my promise: 

 

Over Rated: Born To Make You Happy - I think it's OR because there were other songs that should have been a single, like "thinkin about you".. The video is cute tho!  
OR: Don't Go Knockin On My Door - In many threads here people have said they would chose this as the next single so I think it's OR because even though it is an amazing song!!!, I think What U See and Can't Make You Love Me are better.
OR: The Hook Up - This song gets so much praise from the BArmy when in reality it sounds like a Sean Paul song and is extremely dated sounding now. There are many better songs on ITZ like Early Morning, Showdown, and even Brave New Girl that have stood the test of time sound wise and are not praised as much as The Hook Up.   
OR: Kill The Lights - Kill the lights is an amazing song, but people talk about it like it should have been a single so I think it's OR because in my opinion, Shattered Glass, Mannequin, Lace & Leather, Amnesia and Unusual You are all better single options than Kill the Lights.   
OR: Perfume - Yeah this is definitely over rated!! It was a single when it never should have been!! It was a song written for her just so she could product placement some Fantasy Twist like whoa!!! Justice for all other songs on BJ like TIG, TTB, BA and Alien that were better 2nd single options!    

UR: Heaven On Earth - Hell yeah I think it's under rated! It's an amazing 80's dance floor jam and aside from Why Should I Be Sad, It is the least appreciated song on GOD OUT!!! People praise Freakshow, Get Naked, and Toy Soldier way more than Heaven On Earth when it is just as good if not better than those! That being said you can't possible OR any of GodOut bc it is THAT amazing tbh..  
UR: Body Ache - Unpopular opinion I know, but I think this should have been the second single! It's got Danceney written all over it, we would have gotten a HOT video and I don't subscribe to all the Maya conspiracy theories!!

I agree with Joshney on this one.. TTWE is one of her best songs ever!! It's Danceney to the MAX, the Video is amazing and it's one of her highest charting and best selling singles ever! The GP agrees! Also Britney was already famous for her OOOHHHS and moans from numerous pervious hits so the OOHH OOHHHH OOHHHHS in TTWE are like a climactic homage to her legendary sultry sound tbh!!  That being said Sometimes is also flawless.. not her best but not her worst either.. I think her worst is Someday (I will understand).. ewwww songs about babies are weird

1. Sure sis, they can be underrated when just being compared to other singles but when you're comparing them to non-single album tracks, they will always be higher rated because they get 200X the amount of attention. Radio play, music video, promotion..etc.. Cmon sis are you new? 

 

2. Well that's why this is a subjective thread honey, because you think ppl stanning for it a lot doesn't make it OR and I do.. It's called a difference of opinion and it's beautiful. 

 

3. Already defined it earlier sis. Go listen to any of Sean Paul's songs from the early to mid 2000's. Jamaican, Dancehall, Reggae music is OUT sis and has been for a while... If you think it still sounds fresh then by all means keep on keeping on.. more power to you. I think there are better songs that get less praise on ITZ and you don't.. As with most of these, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

5.  You love yourself some balladney obviously and me.. not as much. I prefer danceney and therefore think Perfume is OR and a different BJ track should have been the 2nd single. Again.. agree to disagree. 

 

6. There's a difference between intentionally re-creating the sound of a whole decade of pop music (ie 80's) and a song that is a subset of Reggae, Dancehall which was only popular for a few years. Perhaps this is why many of Britney's songs (Everybody, Anticipating, Lace & Leather, Lonely, Bombastic Love, Cinderella, Burning Up..etc.) have 80's pop influence while The Hook Up remains the one and only Dancehall, Reggae, influenced  track she's ever done!
