I think that's how she truly sounds but she usually puts on her trademark Britney voice to sell the sweetheart image. So she may have just broke character a bit.

I'm not talking about her voice. It's her laugh that is changing. It sounds really chesty and has for a while now, like she has asthma or something. Probably due to smoking. She should take care of that...
