How I see it was, yeah it was a really, really shit tribute. But at the end of the day...did Britney really give a shit? No, probably not. In fact she probably preferd that others stole her lime light because that's what she's probably like as she says, she's shy and modest herself. She got/gets enough praise and fans saying " You've changed my life I love you " as it is. I'm sure if she did however want it to be a big, spectacular tribute she would have gotten one.

I love kingsley lol and yea that tribute was horrible. It was in my opinion disrespectful to britney. I like gaga now but back then she was annoying af. She made it all about herself when the focus shouldve been on britney. Britneys nice and modest and all but she deserved it and mtv shouldve done more to make it less embarassing and more memorable

It was nice, but yeah it should've been bigger. Okay, it would have been a stretch having Britney herself perform, but having some sort of interview with other pop stars on her impact would've been cool. The remix was good, but that was WAY too minimalistic. Britney's impact cannot simply be reduced to a 2 minute mashup of her singles.

The tribute itself was sweet and exactly what BRITNEY liked. It was obvious from her reactions she was really pleased/happy with it and that's all that matters because it was for HER not us. Introducing Beyonce after was just a slap in the face though

Yea I agree with Kinglsey.. That day I was furious with MTV because they obviously planned the whole thing. They had major commercials saying "A tribute to Britney Spears" but yet it didn't feel like a tribute..

I don't care whether Britney gave a shit or not , mtv had no right doing her dirty like that . And what got me pissed off the most!! Was that they gave her a regular moon man instead of the gold vanguard award. Then a couple of weeks later that's when they decided to send it to her .. I'm just hoping the billboard will give her recognition and do a more proper tribute to her.i also don't care whether Britney performed or not .. I mean did Madonna & Michael perform when they won their award ??no

She allowed it so IMHO she's the only one to blame apart from MTV. :aww1:

Honestly Britney probably really does like/respect Beyonce so I doubt she cared about it as much as fans do

They could have left a few mins or go to commercials after Britney took the award to someone else introduce Beyonce's performance.

It was truly disrespectful and kinda shady and the fact that Britney allowed it make it even worse...

The problem with Britney from my point of view is that she's too(extra) sweet with everyone and seems to find difficult to say NO when she doesn't wanna do something or doesn't like a thing. That's probably one of the reasons why people like Sam and Alli took advantage of her in the past.

She should be more diva/bossy on some situations, imho.

When MTV asked her to introduce Beyonce after her being honored with the award she probably was like: "Oh, ok. Cool. I love Beyonce."  :pieceofwhat:
